The lighter has arrived, and its a mint-un!

Out of curiosity, how much is a mint barely used example of one of these worth? The other two I have, one works, the other is only good for spares / breaking for the gun build, so I might consider selling this one, and the Waterman pen.

Someone in the world of Bond goodies and props has given me a guide price for the pen, but not the lighter. Any offers, want to drop me a private message?

    Cheers.

    Decisions decisions.....

Ok, so ive been to the tool maker today about a cutting tool to pattern the lighter case.

Not the greatest news, but ive got a couple of other leads who I have also now contacted. Apparently this is a very difficult pattern to precisely machine...

however having looked back through my photo archive, I have noticed a small difference between some of the actual Colibri lighters and the props.

The props seem to have a square cut pattern, and not pyramids.

My Colibri has a very distinct pyramid pattern.

Some lighters have a square cut pattern with what looks like small crosses through each square.

Any thoughts? Personally I prefer the proper Colibri pyramid pattern. Any thoughts on the original / screen guns?

Tough pattern to machine my arse. Specialist cutters, difficult to do,,, i think someone is spinning you a yarn to put you off and get rid.

If you had a decent mill, dro and a 45 degree cutter any competent machinist could do that job.

Yeah, dont worry about the machinist, i have 2 more reliable companies im talking to who do full on prototyping.

I think I will have more joy with them.

    But what about the pattern?

    Pyramids, or square studs.

    Thoughts welcomed chaps....

go with whatever you're happy with. its yours isn't it, so its up to you. unless you're doing this for someone else, in which case, ask them :))

    well, "numpty! " , but that's not a non-confirmation :D

I agree with Geff, it looks like payramids. But I thought, that you have an archive of pics, should be visible there, Dusky

I am fairly sure its pyramids. But unfortunately my photo collection is a bit confusing at times. Im trying to get them into meaningful folders to avoid the confusion.

I like the pyramids best, and I think its the pyramids.

    Well im still alive!

Work has been awful for the last 2 or 3 months, however, breakthrough today as i have found somebody who should be able to do all of the machining, effectively for free!

Can anyone vet some dimensions if i send sketches privately by email?

I have located the lighter and the pen, now all I need are the cufflinks and the cigarette case. But there is one little problem ... I have no idea how to turn those into a GG replica like the QUARTERMASTERS. Im trying to replicate his replica but I have absolutely no clue how. What I do know from seeing his video is how to make it function as an air pistol with a co2 cartridge. I just dony know how to make the lighter slide out or attacht to the case and the pen. If somone would help me out I can put a blueprint on how to make it function as an air pistol. Thanks.

Note: so far I only know how on the model the quatermaster made.

Really? I saw his golden gun replica and now I have to have one exactly like it. It looks perfect. I want to build one but I have no clue how.
