This is fantastic....probably far better than what we will finally get....truly inspired -{
Very good, indeed. Em is an extremely talented artist; I remember seeing something he did for one of the Young Bond books, if I remember correctly. My hat's off to him on this one.
EDIT: And as I'm very much playing catch-up here, due to my prolonged absence, I'll chime in and opine that "Skyfall" isn't bad...possibly Eon are going to bank the admittedly lesser titles like "Risico" and "The Property of a Lady" for future use. I do like the notion of an 'Operation Skyfall.'
At least we're finally getting close to real things happening with the production B-)

I don't believe Bond will have a beard for the entire film. . .if he's to have one, it will probably be briefly, as in DAD. There are two reasons for my belief here: (1) Bond has never worn a beard, and I don't think the producers will stray THAT far from tradition; and (2) Craig's beard looks like crap--I've seen pictures of the bearded DC before--and I doubt audiences could stomach it for two hours. . .

More crap thrown against the wall to see what might stick. They're really gonna start shoveling the bs now that time is starting to run out before the official press conference. Wouldn't surprise me if the film isn't even called "Skyfall" (although the title is starting to grow on me).
I too hope these Bond 23 rumours are not true...including the title (I could live with Skyfall but really hope that I don't have to!). As for the other rumours of slashed budget, slashed action scenes, etc etc, although widely reported in numerous media outlets, they are likely all stemming from one single source and therefore, like many rumours, may in fact not have any basis for truth. Then again, they may all be correct...who knows! However, I would like to say that although we all know what Mendes' previous films have been like and can therefore imagine what a traditional Mendes take on a Bond film might be, it is also worth remembering that we are now in an era in which almost any Bond director from here on in will have grown up on Bond films. So, even if a director's previous works have been arty or dark or reflective or tense or vampire or sci-fi or whatever, they as individuals may be life-long Bond fans and given the chance to direct a Bond film they might make something completely and totally different to their previous work and more in keeping with the classic Bonds. Okay, so I'm just hoping here, but until EON have their presser next month, we are all pretty much just guessing!
It seems to me the tone will be a good bit like " Road to Perdition " Though there may not be as big set pieces, I am sure the body count will be sufficiently " Bondian ". Here is hoping B-) B-) B-)
Maybe, just maybe, what we will get will be closer in tone to FRWL or GF and not just a big noisy action flick. More of a thriller with action scenes that have some suspence.

Fear not my dear TP. Tis silly season conjecture. Even if true a reduced budget may mean fewer dodgy CGI Dogfights, and more genuine tension. I think that there is enough nuanced evidence from Forster and DC to give some credibility to the notion that they (EON) got away with a sub standard rush-job by blaming the writers strike (do not mean to anger or stir up more pointless debate with QOS-aholics -we will never agree) and they will be anxious not to screw up this time. Let's go on a 'negativity fast' at least until we know more. Having been bitterly disappointed last time I'm hungry for something up to the standard of CR, and if possible something that is a true grown up fusion of the best of the reboot, with some added fun and glamour.
Who cares about the title? I really liked QoS as a title, but didn't think the film was all that much. IMHO EON can come up with any title as long as the film is great. I will judge Skyfall when it comes out, like I judged DC after i saw CR.

Hear, hear!
First, none of these sources are particualrly reliable. Second, it's VERY early in the process (filming hasn't even begun). Third, don't discount that some of what is said in the press could be deliberate misinformation from EON. Fourth, big budgets don't always (and some could argue rarely) make a great film.
And as for the title. Remember 'Beyond The Ice', anyone? All the URLs that were logged by MGM under that name?
I think we will all change our mind when we see the trailer appear.... I was hoping for "Property of a lady." but alas....still never mind.....
Keeping the British end up....

Don't despair yet. Remember the domain name rumor doesn't really tell us at all what the title of the movie is. With Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, they registered many titles too.
Maybe the name "skyfall" is something in the movie. A plan, a deadly program.
I think it would be wise to call the 50th Anniversary movie, Property of a Lady, because it sounds like a special title and, in a way, it does make a reference to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Diamond Jubilee and all.
If the director and producer don't like the name "Property of a Lady" and do select "Skyfall", and if all the rumors are true about a reduced budget and cutting out some action scenes, sounds like to me they don't really want a "cash cow".
A good title to a movie can mean everything.
The title for Die Hard 5 is "A Good Day to Die Hard". It will be released February 14, 2013.

I see your 100 and raise you another 100 for "Property of a Lady".
I think Property of a Lady sound like a special title for the 50th Anniversary movie and it is also fitting to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, soon to be her Diamond Jubilee.
Perfect title for the times we are living in.
If they call it "Skyfall", then the producers have no insight at all, and have no idea what is going on in the outside world.
The title of Quantum of Solace was so ridiculous. "Another Way to Die" might have sounded better.
I will be careful with what I say. But they could probably write one great bloody song with "Property of a Lady".
Do you think we are going to be disappointed after this press conference?

Although properly Fleming, I am not a fan of Property of a Lady as a title. QOS was cumbersome enough to require constant explanation, and all the connections you mention feel a bit cheesy to me. I'm pretty much agnostic re Skyfall, and am more concerned re the script and narrative arc. No more vendettas or personal connections, no kidnapping M...I'm hoping for a real and credible threat unconnected with the series itself, and hope that all the anniversary stuff is kept to a real minimum.
Don't know if this has been posted, certainly can't find it, but from the ever-reliable Sun... Snippets on Bond having to sport a beard, the budget and the fate of Vauxhall Bridge in the film. Apparently.

I love this title, it has a real 'Bond' feel to it. I've heard rumours that he's going to be driving a Bentley, is this just chinese whispers or has the Bentley been confirmed anywhere?
