Problem At Work

Hi
I've got an issue at work which I'm desperate for an answer to. Basically, my supervisor suffers from OCD and she is due to go on Med leave for three months. However, a chance conversation with my colleague resulted in her saying that she could accuse them of discrimination if she didn't get Special Paid Leave.

The reason why is because I attend a Uni course at Winchester which I previously got Special Paid Leave for, as agreed with management. My colleague basically was stirring it and I'm not happy about it.

My situation is totally different to my colleague's who suffers from OCD and surely it is management discretion how they handle such a situation in their own way and my situation is surely different from hers?

Cheers for any advice.

Rob

Isn't it up to management then? If it is up to their discretion then does it matter what you or your colleague says? She will get it if management is willing to give it only.

I don't think you need to worry or be involved much from what I gather.

Let the management deal with it...this has no bearing on your case...I'm assuming you struck the deal with them prior to having the time off..?...If so, then it's up to her to strike her own deal...and with an attitude like that she will need lots of luck.

    Don't worry about it.

I agree with everyone else, stay out of it. If I may ask something though, what is your profession and what University Class did you take? (no need to answer if you don't want to or can't answer)

I know some jobs will assist with University (or College) Payments if the class you are taking is related to the job you are doing.

For example, if you worked for a Newspaper and wanted to take a Journalism or Photography class, the Newspaper may assist you with the payments of the class.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

Worked in Winchester for a year - lovely place! Many a night spent walking up that hill - completely sober at the top!
