Upgrade Complete & Suggest Features

Good evening, the upgrade has gone without a hitch. This upgrade is not a feature upgrade. It is purely a code update in order to bring the forum up to date and to allow a smoother upgrade path in the not too distant future to a larger (and hopefully more feature based) upgrade.
There are only two things I think you will notice, RSS feeds on forums and topics, may or may not be useful! Secondly there is a 'Quick quote' link on every post which allows you to highlight something in a post, click the link and it will appear in the quick reply box underneath. You can do this as many times to as many posts (on that page) to help when quoting multiple posts.
Now I will start the process of working on features and bits and bobs people want. So please suggest away. I will consider anything and then prioritise them.

Anyway, I vote for Film Favourites, where members rank their faves and others can go compare with their own faves.
I also enjoyed the furtiveness of checking out what member is on what thread...
Roger Moore 1927-2017
Hilarious! I hadn't thought of it but now that you mention it I can't get that haunting voice out of my head. "...Good evening, The upgrade has gone without a hitch..."
Sorry din't get back to you about the app.... but well I've done a bit more research into it.... do you want to PM me if you want to find out more. I think quite a few would love an app for AJB on their phone...
I'm not an app desinger myself, but work for a software developer... so have contacts.
Let me know.

Lexi I have pm'ed you as requested I am definitely interested especially if we can do it 'easily'.
It's easier to compare films if everyone has ranked the same number (i.e. all of them) however if you haven't seen one it does mean you can't miss it out and will have to rank it at the bottom.
The favourite films list is the number 1 thing I'd want back. Personally, I think that everybody should be able to rank whichever films they have seen without having to rank others they have not seen. Regarding the average overall combined list of everybody's scores, maybe only make this apply to those who have listed ALL the official films? (without 'counting' the scores of the incomplete lists)? Just my opinion on it. Either way, I'd LOVE to see this feature return. I like listing things!
1 - Moore, 2 - Dalton, 3 - Craig, 4 - Connery, 5 - Brosnan, 6 - Lazenby
Jarvio I hope to have a beta available just for you at the weekend! It might start with just being a list of all the films due to ease.
Great stuff, thanks, I look forward to it!

Thanks SiCo!!
No problem, and thanks for the heads up. Hope you get better soon

If the whole ranking in order thing is proving too complicated (as some people have not seen every film) then how about a mark out of 10 system? All bond movies are scored out of 10 per user, and for those users who have not seen particular films, they don't give the film a score (or tick "N/A" or something). Basically the same as IMDB rankings, but limited to AJB members. That way each film would have an "average" score from all user's votes, and all the average scores could then be compiled into an overall list of best to worst? Just a suggestion.

Huge thx for making the outbox bigger (50) was the only frustration I ever had with this amazing site....

This is the first I've heard of this issue, I haven't experienced it personally. Stupid question but you are definitely ticking the box to remember yourself. I think it's un-ticked by default.
The only other idea, but it will be annoying I imagine, is to clear your browsing history and temporary internet files. This should remove everything and force the cookie to be reset. Although really the cookie should be reset every time you login and will be updated when you visit.
