It's true. It comes under the same category as "Dr No is a monkey" and "Goldfinger's twin brother"; plot lines that we can be thankful never came to fruition.
Well the twin brother couldnt have made that movie any worse...
When I was a young Bond fan, watching each film as many times as I could before the VHS broke down then I will admit, I loved the old films and their storylines but.... it's a new era now and the world want believable stories (I think). Die Another Day just about pushed the realms of believability and I think the direction taken with Casino Royale was, in my opinion, the best thing that could have been done to salvage the credibility of the series.
Of course, I respect everyone's right to enjoy what they want.

I think if we carried on where DAD left off then the Bond series might have been finished forever. CR def made Bond "cool" and "relative" again regardless of how biased people are with regards to hating or liking Daniel Craig

I agree, the movies are changing, and the problem is that the Brosnan films tried to be too much like the Connery films, etc, but people don't like that style of film now

Why not give Goldfinger's twin Brother a super Intelligent Monkey as a side kick
( Ties in with the planet of the apes ) Thus giving us the chance to have Bond
team up Americas super intelligent ape Felix.(After having the Brain from a near dead

Then our two heros set off to fight the deadly "Goldfinger2" at some point Poor
felix get mortally wounded and dies in Bonds arms, ( very mighty joe young ).

To keep it relevent I'd shoot it mainly in Black and white with several key scenes shot
silently, with captions, some slowmotion and a bit of Opera music ( so the snobs can
point out to the plebs which opera it's from ), Also Mike Myers couldn't make fun of it so
this could be a new template for the next few Movies.

So thats how they do that. Interesting. Probably works better than filming the driver when they are towing the car, or its on a trailer.
Craig's not meant to be driving though, he's in the back seat in both those pictures. British cars are right hand drive, the steering wheel is visible where it should be on that Range Rover, but there's no driver's seat.
