"Skyfall," the latest James Bond movie, has already shattered box-office records in Great Britain and earned ecstatic reviews in advance of its Friday opening here in the States. Now its makers are zeroing in on an unlikely target -- Oscar voters -- in a quest to become the first Bond movie to win a best picture nomination.

Given the recent boxoffice results it's nice to see a British hero beating
the likes of Batman and The Avengers. -{ It can only be good for the
Bond series.

An interesting article in which Arundi Asregadoo (VFX Supervisor) explains the work of MPC on the final sequence in Skyfall. That included the environment around Skyfall Lodge, the destruction of the Aston Martin DB5, the crashing of the helicopter into the Lodge, the chase across the moor and the ice lake fight sequence. Before and after stills from filming are featured.
