I love briony,he´s more famous and his clothing like soo
    I´m sorry for TF

I'm not sure Brioni is more famous. Tom Ford is getting pretty well known, from his perfumes and print ads.

Brioni has very, very, very, very rare print ads.

For me the error was committed when Briony changed to Tom Ford

Lol - thats funny. Brioni suits were horrible. The style in Casino Royale was average at best. Tom Ford has completely redefined the Bond look and its the Bond has ever looked. Amazing stuff from TF and Louise Frogley. Cracking job. Quantum of Solace clothes looked amazing. Lets hope he can keep it going with Skyfall.

I don't know about «horrible»... Was Casino Royale a clothing disaster?

I liked the suits in CR as well as QoS.

Daniel Craig is a fashion whore (pardon my french) hence don't expect DC to have the same style in his Bond films, his new suits doesn't really surprise me.

The problem here is a common one in current fashions: the suit coat is too short and the trouser rise is too short. Add 2 inches to both and you'll have a much better look. The buttoning point of the jacket should relate to the top of the trousers, and both should be around the natural waist. The provides the most flattering and timeless look. The coat is also too tight. At least the colours and patterns are Bondian.

You'll find that the short trouser rise look, with turn ups, is going to be very popular this year.

What do you think those straps hooking under his heels are for? To stop his trousers rising up maybe?

I'm still not struck. In these pics it looks a bit better, but that's part cause Mr Craig wears tailoring well. But, a the button, ulta fine pinstripes, turn ups on narrow trousers and slim fit looking sleeves looks too fussy for my taste.

I am also in the Brioni camp, but that's purely because its closer to the "boxier" style of tailoring that fits my barrel like body!
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

Brioni suits loooked great on Brosnan, the style is for the older man and very conservative. Although I'm not the biggest TF fan the younger styles of QoS looked much better on Craig.
This look we are seeing now however is WAY too fashionable for Bond - it looks like he has been working in Top Man during his time away from the service - this is the kind of styles the kids are wearing now.

Yes, I tend to agree that Bond under Ford and the SKYFALL costume designer seem to be chasing trendy-fashionable rather than classic, timelesss style.

In fact, those who can see the Connery 60s look in these suits really should give me the name of their occulist.

Anthony Sinclair this lot certainly isn't.

Yeah, I noticed those too. Very narrow trousers and running, probably to keep them down as you say.

Some of the comments in this thread are a bit subjective in my opinion.

In my opinion (and that's all it is) the Brioni suites looked excellent on Brosnan and the TF suits likewise looked great on Craig. However, the few photos I have seen from Skyfall make me wonder what is going on... The suit we have seen Craig is not great but what I find worse is the VILE button-down collar on his shirt! I know these are popular in the US but I feel it is not in keeping with Bond's 'British' image.

It's not a button down collar but rather a Narrow Point Collar or Narrow Spread Collar.

I could be wrong but to me it looks like one of the hidden button down collars.

It definitely looks like that, but I guess there is a possibility that there would be no button, but unlikely in my book.

Definitely not a button down collar. Very narrow point collar. I like it personally. I think the shots of Bond at Whitehall with that beautiful pea coat look stunning. Not sold 100% on the pin stripe look but I'm sure they had their reasons.

It could be that the buttons are under the collar...I mean something is rolling the collar down and fastening them to the shirt

I guess it depends what you mean as a button-down collar. My point is that there is a button involved like the one that 007 and a half links to above. That buton is holding the collars down causing the shape that we see in the photos.

    Its not rocket science 8-)

Tie Bar pushing the tie up and covert buttons holding the tie points down.

Yeah a similar thing to that - buttoned under the tie itself pulling the collars together and keeping them down.
