Guys, there's a lot of misinformation being posted and I wanted to help clear it up.
Tom Ford Suits: I know that a total of three (3) exist. These suits are sold to the public as two (2)
button, not three (3) as modified for the film. @Matt: Tom Ford's suits are exactly the same that Daniel Craig wears in the movie. The only difference is that he is built in such a way that the costume designers modified his suits to better suit his body. In fact, you can read magazine articles that state that many different sizes of the same suit were used depending on what type of filming was being done. Another excellent example of modification is his Barbour jacket which David pointed out in his podcast--Craig had it modified to look as thought he was wearing a shirt, and had the hood/zipper completely removed.
Tom Ford Tuxedo: Midnight blue with a black lapel. It changes colors and in dark environments is actually darker than black. In the light, it almost looks like it's royal blue.
Tom Ford Shirts: I have seen one, (white point collar), and it is the shirt that Craig wears in Turkey.
Tom Ford Outerwear: One (1) jacket.
Tom Ford Cufflinks: Worn by Craig in Istanbul, made out of white gold and retail for approximately $3,500. To date, these are the ONLY cufflinks that are available to the public.
Tom Ford Ties: @Holden: You're exactly right. Tom Ford released a list of ties that are supposedly in the film; that list coincides with the picture previously provided out of Tom Ford Milan. The problem is, as I'm sure many of you are well aware, none of these ties match a single picture that has been released to the public. In fact, both the tie in Istanbul and the one that Craig wears in London, as well as the picture of him standing next to his DB5 presumably in Scotland, are in deed the same "check" or "star" pattern. Any of you that own the book: "Filming SKYFALL" can refer to pages 150-151 for a close-up. Lastly, the tie Craig wore in the new Mi6 (gray/black/royal blue) is also absent from the ties that TF supplied its stores.
Harrods has a better selection of ties than Selfridges, and they restock one-to-two times per week (regardless of what they tell you). I was in London last week and purchased as many of the ties on the Tom Ford provided list as I could. (Sorry Welshboy). I will advise any of you to make 100% sure that if you purchase any of the ties on the list, to go with the narrow / skinny versions. Tom Ford does in fact make two versions of each tie, one regular size, and one narrow.
If anyone comes across the actual ties in the photographs, please let the rest of us know!
C&J Shoes: I purchased two pairs of C&J shoes this past week and can say that they are by far worth the money if you can afford them. I happen to own a pair of John Lobb's as well, and although the Lobb's are exceptionally well-crafted, the C&J shoes are some of the most comfortable I have ever worn.
Budget Alternative: I would highly suggest that you look into Cole Haan's shoes. They make several styles that are great alternative to the C&J shoes, but for less money.
Budget Alternative for the scarf worn with Barbour jacket: Check out American Apparel's "Infinite" or circular scarf. It comes in a variety of different colors.
There are 4 suits in the film: a light grey pick-and-pick (in Turkey), a charcoal pinstripe (in London), a dark grey glen urquhart check and a navy. As I wrote above, the suits in the film have 3 buttons and the ones sold in stores have 2 buttons. So of course they aren't the same.
The shirts have tab collars, not point collar. They are in both white and sky blue in the film. I don't know what is being sold.
For budget shoes I'd recommend Loake 1880 over Cole Haan. I used to have Cole Haan shoes 5 years ago before I could justify spending the money on Crockett & Jones and they got worse with wear. Good shoes get better. Cole Haan makes their shoes with corrected grain leather, which cannot be polished if scuffed. Loake will cost more, but it's still less than C&J and will be a far better value than Cole Haan. They will also have the look of an English last that Cole Haan doesn't have. Going really cheap on dress shoes is never worth it in my experience.
Unfortunately, none of the ties being sold as 'James Bond' ones have been seen in any of the Skyfall screen shots so far.
+1. The suits they are selling as Skyfall suits are also incorrect, since they button two and not three like in the film. It seems like they don't want the average man to be able to dress exactly like James Bond.
I tryed the dark grey check suite and it had three buttons.. Very nice but unfortunately costs €2800.
Unfortunately, none of the ties being sold as 'James Bond' ones have been seen in any of the Skyfall screen shots so far.
Actualy they provided screen shots for every tie they showed me.
They are the only flagship store in Europe, I guess they know what they are showing and saying. Who else should know it?

Hi
I could have bought Tom Ford "James Bond" labelled ties from Harrods as shown in this thread but I simply dont believe they made the final cut of Skyfall. Seems odd that all the pics and footage show the same ties

Marco: they provided screen shots of the ties actually being worn by Craig in the film, or screen shots from a Tom Ford catalogue stating that these were the ties from the film? I took a chance and purchased the ties from the list, but I can assure you that unless they are being worn in scenes throughout the film that the public has not seen pictures of (very well possible), not a single one of the ties that I own match up with the ties from the trailers, still photos on set, or magazine covers. It's very strange to say the least!
Some additional information: another member posted pictures of the actual tie that we are all looking for after visiting the Christie's auction. It is in fact called a "charcoal check"...see the auction catalogue for additional information. You'll also notice a reference to Switzerland in this blurb...could this be a connection to the Tom Ford store in St. Moritz?

Hi, I took a chance and purchased as many of the ties as were available. Like you I have my doubts about them actually being in the film based on the close-up images that I have seen. Hopefully we get to the bottom of this!

Matt, I agree with you about purchasing inexpensive dress shoes. I do not own any shoes from Loake, but they do have excellent models. I do own Cole Haan shoes and some of their wingtip boots offer a similar option to the C&J boots worn in the film. They also are extremely comfortable!
You are also correct about the Tom Ford "tab" shirts. This was also something added by the costume designer. The ones sold to the public look the same (I guess the are considered point collars), without the actual tabs. Again, you are spot on with the colors. I have only seen the white version of the shirt to date.
Regarding the suits, you may be correct on the number. I personally only remember liking three of them after viewing them in person. I can't actually recall the color of the pinstripe suit, (navy, charcoal, or black), but I am almost certain that it has blue pinstripes.

Are you sure the costume designer added the tabs? Tom Ford offers tab collars on their made-to-measure shirts. Tab collars are also constructed differently than point collars, and like a button-down collar they aren't as stiff. Though you could still be correct, and Craig's tab collar looks stiffer than the typical tab collar.
Yes, the charcoal striped suit does have blue pinstripes. Or technically they are rope stripes, since the stripes are a few threads wide and the cloth is serge.

Hey Matt. The Tom Ford shirt that I saw did not have a tab. I actually saw the same white shirt in three different Tom Ford stores.
Unfortunately, none of the ties being sold as 'James Bond' ones have been seen in any of the Skyfall screen shots so far.
Actually they provided screen shots for every tie they showed me.

Hey Marco, thanks for clarifying. I went to Selfridges in London and each of the ties clearly stated "James Bond" on the price tickets, whereas the ones from Harrods either stated "JB" on the ticket or nothing at all.
These are the ties that I have purchased from the Tom Ford James Bond collection. I have not yet been able to identify any of them as being in SKYFALL, but they are indeed being marketed by Tom Ford as being associated with James Bond.
Here are close-up images of each of the ties that we know will be featured in the film. You will notice a star or "check" pattern for both the ties Craig wears in Istanbul, as well as the one he wears with the pinstripe suit. The third tie worn with the plaid suit is also represented here.
Someone posted earlier from a Tom Ford book that had an illustration of "James Bond Day Shirt — MTO only. The photo of the illustration posted here isn't so good so, but it appears that shirt has the tab collar. Since it says MTO only that means you won't find the correct shirt for sale in retails shops.

It's strange because at each of the Tom Ford stores that I have visited, they brought out the exact same white shirt (same as the pictures minus the tab), stating that these were the "Bond shirt." Matt, you may be right. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
That shoes has such an ugly last. Though I know it's difficult to find an elegant-looking shoe on a low budget, especially a 3-eyelet derby.
I'm curious what exactly you find ugly about the last. I admit to not knowing exactly what defines a shoe's last, but still have a hard time seeing what would make you consider this shoe ugly regardless. Also, this particular shoe seems to work acceptably with my extremely pronated arches.
Cubby, a last is what the shoe is built on. In saying that a shoe has an ugly last, Matt is saying that they shape of the shoe is ugly. Also, I've seen tab collar TF shirts first hand, so I'm not sure why it's thought that they were modified in some way for the film. This thread has gotten sort of confusing over these last couple of pages... Anyway I just bought a TF bow tie from ebay that appears to be made of the exact same silk (pattern and color) as the blue tie in the picture of Bond sitting in chair. I'll post pictures when it gets here. But here are the pictures from the listing. After very close inspection, I'm 99% sure that it's the exact same material. So, if it is, in the very least we have a better idea of what to look for. Let me know what you guys think.
Placed my order for the TF Skyfall O'Connor tuxedo today. Should take 6 weeks to come...about the same length of time I will have to live on bread and water in order to afford it )
Excited is an understatement. You only live once guys!

Congratulations Shane, it's an exquisite piece and something you will have for the rest of your life. I will be ordering mine in the next month or so. Please post pics as soon as you receive it. Cheers!
I was not aware of C&J prior to learning they would be worn in the film, but I purchased several pairs of their shoes in London last week and they are hands down the most comfortable that I own.

I'm not to sure about international law, but here in the United States, this could be taken as false advertising. Ford is marketing items as being associated with skyfall that so far, have been shown that they are actually not actually the ties that are shown in the movie, Unless the actual movie shows otherwise.

Rebenton: I understand your frustration, but I think it's best that we wait to see what is actually worn in the film before making judgements. I merely stated that as of now, I have not been able to place the ties in the film based on the trailers, magazine covers, and still images released to the public. Many of us need to understand something, the costume designer for the film has the ultimate say in what is/is not worn, and how it is to be worn/modified to best suit the actor/actress.
Marco stated that he saw images of them being worn, it would be fantastic to actually see them!
So far - Barbour / Levis / PTI / Peacoat on order / Marco's / CandJ Islays
Going to take the plunge on some Tetbury's next
Has anyone got a guide re the fit
Usually take a UK9 in most high street shoes, but down to an 8 in say Nike trainers etc
Bought the Islays in 8.5 and they are a good fit, may perhaps be slightly large when they bed in, but thicker socks will sort that if needed
Thinking of an 8.5 again in the Tetbury's ?????
Any help would be most appreciated, and.......
Only 6 days till Friday
I purchased both the Islays and the Tetbury's, as well as a pair of C&J Chelsea boots last week in London, and went with the same size in all three pairs, a US 11. I normally wear size 12 in Cole Haan for instance, or Nike trainers.
I agree with you, collecting the SKYFALL merchandise is extremely expensive, but also very rewarding. The majority of the products are exceptionally well made, and will last a lifetime.
Thank you for your enquiry through our website and your interest in Crockett & Jones.
The boots which we supplied for Skyfall were 'Islay ' in Dark Brown Scotch Grain. These are made on the 365 last. This is a calf leather so it is not waterproof but it does have a storm welt and Dainite studded rubber soles which should help in wet conditions. The Harry boot is a style which we make for our customer 'Thomas Rogerson' in Scotland. This is very similar but is made on the 228 last. This would only be available from Rogerson's shops in Scotland.
We do also make a version of the Islay boot in Bronze Oiled leather for our retail shops. This is a heavy, waxy side leather which would be more water resistant. This also has a heavier Ridgeway rubber sole and storm welt which also makes it more waterproof. It is a more rugged version I would say. This is not a calf leather and doenst require as much finishing/polishing as the scotch grain calf leather which is why there is a difference in the price.
I've had my Islays in Dark Brown Scotch Grain for several weeks and the colour is already mellowing. What we have to remember is that in the photo of DC crouching by the DB5, the boots undeniably look bronze calf, but as we've learned in everything from suits to ties, colours in photos can change massively. Secondly, wardrobe would want the boots to look broken-in and worn, not brand new from the box and they have a million tricks to make clothes look old. As C&J have twice claimed they only supplied the Dark Brown Scotch Grain (the above email and the ad), and we know that the soles of the bronze calf are not the soles we have seen in other lodge photos which are the DBSG soles, and we know that wardrobe do make things look worn, I am still inclined to believe that the Darl Brown is correct.

Hey Marco, thanks for clarifying. I went to Selfridges in London and each of the ties clearly stated "James Bond" on the price tickets, whereas the ones from Harrods either stated "JB" on the ticket or nothing at all.
It's strange because at each of the Tom Ford stores that I have visited, they brought out the exact same white shirt (same as the pictures minus the tab), stating that these were the "Bond shirt." Matt, you may be right. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
I'm curious what exactly you find ugly about the last. I admit to not knowing exactly what defines a shoe's last, but still have a hard time seeing what would make you consider this shoe ugly regardless. Also, this particular shoe seems to work acceptably with my extremely pronated arches.
Excited is an understatement. You only live once guys!
Congratulations Shane, it's an exquisite piece and something you will have for the rest of your life. I will be ordering mine in the next month or so. Please post pics as soon as you receive it. Cheers!

If you go to the C&J website, they list the Islay in Dark Brown Scotch Grain as being in the film. Please refer to: http://www.crockettandjones.com/News/Index/James-Bond-Skyfall-Crockett-and-Jones .
1. CR. 2. TSWLM. 3. LTK. 4. GF. 5. SF.
C&J have confirmed it in theid advertisement and in this email here:
