Oh, and sweet threads, Mr. Mantis (especially that shirt)! You also seem to have gotten a bit more fit since I was last poking around these forums. Good on you!
It does look like - it is the same shirt and tie as seen in previous "filming shots" in London .
The suit is very un-Bond (3 buttons on the cuffs, 3 Button on the front, No ticket pocket and Single vent on the back) and those dreadful tab collars on the shirt.
I'm becoming worried that they're overly focused on image in this film. Looking sharp doesn't have to be about following the style advice of one New York based designer - However talented he may be. Hopefully the story-line isn't compromised.
A guy over at the James Bond lifestyle forum thinks the Skyfall swimming trunks maybe the Orlebar Brown Setter Shorts in sky blue (based on 1950s classic design)
What you guys think?? I guess they could still be a Tom Ford copy of this style. Maybe a rep at Orlebar Brown might confirm if they provided them to DC?

Coincidentally, I saw those online yesterday.
They look good, if only based on the one shot we have, mostly of Dan's arse hanging out of 'em!
But I suspect thye'll turn out to be Ford's version of someone else's design, as he knocked off the shades and polos last time. Isn't he even doing the shoes this time, rather than giving them up to Churchs?
Great suit. Miss the cap toe on the shoes. Indifferent about the cuffs.
2/3-eyelet derby shoes such as these typically don't have caps, which are more common on oxfords. Which cuffs are you referring to? The 3-button cuffs with the last button open or the turn-ups on the trousers? I'm not a fan of leaving the last cuff button open, though in QoS when he had 5 buttons on the cuffs I found that okay since there was already one too many buttons there. As for the turn-ups, it's nice to see that continuing, since that's something Brosnan and Craig have always worn on their suit trousers in the past. However, the hem is just too short. Even considering his knee is bent, I'd still give it another inch.
And what do you guess think of the tab collar? That's something we've never seen on Bond. I'm sure Fleming would find a tab collar too fussy. I personally find it to be quite an affected look.
I'm with Matt on the overall dress.... So far the pics I've seen (at least outside the swimming pool ) have made me cringe.... Even the overcoat looked somehow poor quality...
The collar is fussy.... Not at all bond... More teenager at their 18th birthday bash..
And will someone please lengthen DC's trousers! Or did I miss the knee-length look creep in while I was hibernating ?
But it's early days and we're missing all of the context - for all I know bond is undercover as a university don ( first sock less pics) or an estate agent ( the latest pin stripe) although no offense to either profession...

Yup they sure look same style with side buckles etc
It's going to be by Sony (they've dropped the Sony Ericsson branding).
I've had a look on the Sony website and can't find anything that's an exact match. It may just be a standard hands free kit that comes with the Sony phones.
Thought most car kits were wireless ?
The way it's tucked into his suit it's almost "covert" and it was connected to a hidden transmitter ..
Just a thought

The suit pics are great, I know you paid a fortune for the Tom Ford, but it is worth every penny.

Is this an on set pic? The tie looks... cheap.
Bond on a Budget
DC did however where a Single (Mid) Vent with his Montenegro Suit in CR.
Can we have another Casino Royale please?

Double vents are still for wearing a suit at social events, since that's still really just a business suit. Single vents are for the country.

Btw I suspect the shoes are John Lobbs.....
Thought i'd just "lob" that out there ....
And David..... If this is the falconer, where's the third "small change" pocket on the right ?
The pics you posted of the falconer ( brown) had the third pocket shown.....
We both know Mario, and you have much more faith than I, but are we sure this is right?
Yup they sure look same style with side buckles etc
