Bond Airfix kits

Not sure this is a major topic, but does anyone have any photos etc of the Airfix Toyota 2000GT. I remember having the kit as a kid (god, I was I could travel back in time !) & my late father (rip) helping me build it. Don't think it ever got finished, but I seem to recall it was a top quality kit. It holds enormous sentimentality for me. It crops up on ebay now & then but goes price crazy. I own a few of the re-issues of Airfix Bond, but thought a gallery would be a nice trip down memory lane ?

WOW!!!!!
You know something, you are in fact correct. I mis-spoke. The models of the JB DB5 and Toyota that were issued in the 90's were actually made by Doyusha. They came with a Bond figure, Oddjobb and a Bond figure and Aki respectively. It's a b*tch getting old!

The reason I had asked to check the kit, was that in the early 90s I had bumped into someone (well placed) from Airfix at a local model/car event (the details escape me) and he told me that the moulds had disappeared many years previously. I couldn't get him to admit to the same fate for the Toyota. The original artwork for Little Nellie had also dissapeared (when the Americans took over the company), hence the poor quality artwork on Nellie's re-issue - if they had only asked me, I still have one in my collection.
So the Doyusha molds were used for the re-issued Airfix models? Very interesting.

Can remember friend of my brothers having Toyota in 1970's but wouldn't part with it sadly
But now also have original concept artwork DB5 by Roy Cross so alls well in the end
Pre-90's, mid 80's I worked in a hobby shop. An Airfix trade catalogue featured both the DB5 and Little Nellie however neither were re-released. Airfix did re-release the Aston Martin DB6 whose box artwork did look very similar to the car which appears on the Bond DB5 box in dark blue where the Bond DB5 was green for some reason but it was not the Bond DB5 regrettably.

The DB6 is the only Aston Martin kit which resembled a DB5 which Airfix rereleased in the 1980's
