    I agree that not all locations in a Bond movie has to be exotic. In the PTS of FYEO the Becton Gas Works are used very well, but few people would call it exotic.

    Why do I have the feeling that the FIFA meeting room would make a great location for a 007 movie? :))

    The Becton Gas Works are quite out of the ordinary, so I'd say they're exotic in a different way.

    No they are long gone ,they also used the site for the brilliant film "Full Metal Jacket" ,but due to its close proximity to London city airport ,Excell Centre ,and Canary wharf ,its now a popular place to yuppy -fy, .You can get the DLR from Becton straight to the Bank of England ,about 20 mins ,

    Yes Higgins this would make a great location -{
    It is almost the double of the meeting room in Thunderball.
    Of course FIFA and SPECTRE have a lot in common - one is a cruel and evil organisation, corrupt to its very core, masterminded by an egomaniac determined to take over the world at any price, quick to take bribes, the cost of human life meaning nothing to its members.... the other is SPECTRE ;)

    Bond preventing FIFA from world domination... that would be both spine-chilling and totally up-to-date.

    Yep, Blatter would make a great psychopathic, double-faced villain! :))

    It looks like Sepp Blatter was watching Dr Strangelove one drunken evening, and the next day at work said "I want a boardroom like this..." and showed them a photo of the US War Room.

    I always thought that part of the original appeal of Bond was that he got to go to places that the rest of us could only dream about. Jamaica, Russia, Japan, exotic casinos, the best suite in the hotel.

    The Bond books were largely written for readers who didn't travel.

    But since then we've had a boom in overseas travel. It doesn't feel so special to have scenes set in airports. Hell, some of my worst days have been spent queuing in airports.

    A twenty first century Bond has to give us new things to experience. Things that are currently out of reach for most of us. And surely that has to be the lifestyles of the mega rich. Seven star hotels. Luxury yachts the size of battleships. Never mind the Astons, I want to see a Pagani Zonda race a Bugatti Veyron.

    So that will mean that the next Bond film (after Spectre) will be called F.I.F.A. and feature a super villain called Blatter?

    ;) We do have the scene from DAF, where Bond gets a good kicking from Wint and Kidd, both wearing
    Football boots. :)) so that could be worked in as FIFA's signature punishment. :))

    Now pay attention, 007. At first glance these look like ordinary Adidas Predators. But sewn into the lining here is a flat-bladed throwing knife. Inside this stud is a homing beacon. The laces are packed with plastic explosive. There is a roll of twenty gold sovereigns here ... and ... here.

    And when you lace them up, always remember to tie the left boot before the right. If you don't you will set off the tear gas canisters built into the insole.

    Next we have a whistle. It looks like an ordinary referees whistle, but ...
