Have you checked out the White and grey versions of the watch? They're stunning but I suspect that the AT in blue would look even more fantastic. In the end, the AT isn't going to suit every one's tastes. Personally, I'd be happier if they just had Craig stick with the PO throught out his tenure the same way Broanan had the smp. However, it would be nice if we could get more and clearer shots of Bond wearing the AT.

Can't say that I have, because I haven't. There are so many other watches that I would probably buy before the AT. Like the Tudor Back Bay. Now there is a watch! I too wish Craig's Bond had stayed with the big Seamaster P.O., but it's all about marketing, or should I say, selling. Same goes for all the LE Omega watches. The fact of the matter is they sell. Moreover, as much as we may hate to admit it, Bond is a great salesman. If Bond owns it, we want it, and the public at large wants it. Yes, it's madness, but it's fun and I am as afflicted as the next man.

I can't believe, that people still fall into Deatons "an argument is an argument is an argument...." trap. Glad that there are knowledgeable people out there who voice their concerns with this.

Omega can do so much better, however, I guess that this "stealth concept" is selling pretty well as you are not stepping on many toes with that kind of design.

Some months ago, he came up with a regular production Seiko TV Timer insisting that it was screen seen in Octopussy which was so obviously wrong
That is all a load of bull as the watch in the movie was a Seiko branded Suwa Seikosha prototype and the serial numbers on this particular watch lead to a production date, when the movie Octopussy has been long in the bag

Wow, that is an expensive watch! As for the Ebel, I can understand why you like it. Sometimes, watches make an impression on you at a certain point in your life, and you spend years tracking it down. Moreover, the fact that Don Johnson as James "Sonny" Crockett wore one, one of my favorite T.V. narcs, makes it quite collectible.

These watches are made by a SEAL, R.E. Smith in Coronado, California and have gone through BUDS. The watches are worn by more U.S. Navy Seals than any other watch presently making the claim of being the watch of the U.S. Navy SEALS. RESCO stands for R E Smith COmpany.
Tudor Black Bay is next on the list.

I did not want to wear the eagle/trident logo. Personally, I feel that only SEALS should wear it. I also thought about the sterile version, but I also wanted to show my pride in our U.S. Navy SEALS. So I chose the older logo that dates back to the UDT's, Freddy the Bullfrog. That's a stick of dynamite in his mouth, not a cigar.

I'll take your word for it about Cartier and the Pasha since I don't read or speak German apart from a few words that are stowed in my seaman's ditty bag, and they are not for polite company. I seem to recall that the Elgin and Hamilton canteen watches were designed in the 1940's, so you are probably right. It does not surprise me because there is very little new in watch world. One borrows from another and on and on it goes.

i too like the AT i tried one on and was surprised how elegant it is. The blue face will make a big difference. i love my watches too, but the non bond ones shown on here other than the resco are awful and i wouldnt be seen dead wearing them
What you have to appreciate about these strange looking watches, the quality and workmanship that goes in to them, everything is mechanical , I don't think they are meant to be worn.
I was lucky enough to be shown these watches in person by Markus on our trip to London, I was under the same impression as your self SirMiles, but after holding one and seeing what is going on inside I found it quite amazing, not to my taste, but I'm sure all the petrol heads with money would enjoy having one in their collection -{
