I like the outfit too, and it's good to see the 3-button jacket return. Still, isn't it funny how Brosnan looked great in a suit, but with Craig not even the best clothes can make him look any good?

That's just because of the very poor fit of the TF suits that DC seems to be wearing in these latest pics that have emerged.

I'd say that DC looked great in a suit in several scenes of the previous two outings: The train scene and Bahamas arrival in Casino R pops in to mind right away, two totally different styles of suit, but completely in peace and proper with the setting.

QoS had some nice looking suits also, The Mitchell apartment and Bolivia arrival, as well as the Green Planet party suit.

I'd say that the DC era has really changed the way Bond looks. Now he dresses for the occasion When you compare DC with for example RM, RM looked like the h**ker who was all dressed up and had no one to blow, in many of the scenes. Brosnan tried, I believe he really did, but what can you do? If you rock suits as well as PB, and you're given Brioni suits, that is all any one will see. Even in the Abba Musical, Brosnan looks very much out of place when he's out of suit.

But; some one here called DCs present looks "HM looks" and I have to agree. Further more, it's not very becoming for a middle aged, bulldog faced bruiser to dress like a 20something lad trying to pass as a business man in a suit straight out of the FHM.

Those pictures from the Whitehall shoot does not make DC look like a line security in Gov'ment employ, it makes him look like a Brit gangster who's come into money and is now in London from Marbella because of some bloody nuisance with the tax man!

Poor fit? Do you honestly think that TF would ruin his brand image by dressing an iconic figure like James Bond in suits of a poor fit? Of course not.
A "Brit gangster" wouldn't be dressing in anything by TF and certainly not in anything that can be called fashionable. The look that DC is wearing is "in" here in London, which is where Bond is supposed to be based. If you travel into Central London, and I'm not talking about the west end, you will see lots of Men from their 20's to their mid 40's wearing something similar. Also fashion changes and evolves very quickly. What may have been fashionable in Casino Royale won't necessarily be fashionable here now. My work suit is cut a lot tighter then it was two years ago, it works for me because of my build and I'm 41, but it won't work for people who have a belly so they will wear a different cut that is more conservative.

Didn't someone say about fashion, that "It is something so hideous, that it has to change every six months"

Besides, if something is fashionable, it does not automatically mean that it also fits properly. Just look at those wacky box cut suits that were fashionable in the '80s.

DC's suit in those pictures is just-too-tight......... pfeww I wonder if he's able to breath with that suit jacket all buttoned up.

And i'd like to end this post with an old allegory about the difference between style and fashion:

Donatella Versace has always been fashionable, where as Coco Chanel was stylish.

The cut of the suit is slim fit but that doesn't mean it's tight. If you wear slim fit clothes and can't breath in them then you are buying the wrong size. You can wear Coco Chanel and I'll stick to Mens clothes :D

Anyway isn't this thread supposed to be about the Skyfall watch?

What a joker, as far as I could see the Aqua Terra has been identified by a fair few people from the London pics way before he updated his site, and on another forum "Ace watches" (which I believe is a jeweller in the US) seemed to be the one which has claimed he has seen it and also a PO all backed up by the Omega Basel list.

Well, here on AJB along with watchuseek we have firstly seen & speculating about the watch with a blue dial.
First substantial confirmation came from a WUS mod, who's gotten some inside info (that has been pulled because Omega took action). Then it has been posted on AJB (I know because I did ;) ) and a bit later Deaton came up with the pricelist from ACE (who's an AD in the Netherlands as far as I am aware) calling the watch the James Bond Skyfall watch.

I'd rather not know about deaton's ring, or how you found that info out welshy, not been tickling deaton's twitter have you? :o

As for the aqua terra, I personally love the look of it, and omega do a similar design themselves, though with a different date window and dark grey dial, not blue, oh n it's quartz. :#

But at £1700, it's one of the cheapest seamys going.

I do like that seiko alternative someone posted though.

I know this is nothing like the Omega Acqua Terra but it still somehow makes for a nice alternative for about a third of the price:
