    My cousin gave me a Chemex coffee maker. I find this to be exquisitely Bondian.
    I actually couldn't believe my eyes.

    This Christmas turned out very unusual this year. Like allways I went to my parents house on the west coast (of Norway). On the night of the 25th a strong storm hit the region. Barn doors were blown off the hinges, trees snapped like twigs and a neighbour found his garage door splintered against a house over a hundred yards away. We also lost electrisity, the mobile phone net and of cource the internet. We rellied on candles, torches and wood burning stoves. The dinners were warmed on the stoves. After a couple of days we managed to borrow a generator to keep the freezer cold and to light a few lamps. Luckily three family members got headlights for Christmas and I got a light for my bicycle (In Norway we open the gifts on the eve of the 24th). The food in the refrigerator we just brought out on the veranda were it was far colder than in the fridge. Yesterday the power company got the electricity back on after a five-day blackout. It was nice to shower, shave and watch TV etc. We were glad to have the advantages of modern life back, but we all agreed it was the most memorable Christmas ever. Also, there was never any shortage of butter :)) (avid news-watchers will understand what I'm reffering to)
