Are there any plans to make a chat room for the forum? Maybe with an IRC client or something similar?

To be honest it's unlikely this will happen, I imagine people surf now days with one eye on Facebook (chat). Unless I am hugely mistaken I see little point in providing something you can get better elsewhere. I am open to reconsidering though!

We did yes, a lot has changed in those years in terms of technology so it's more possible than it ever was. I'm just not convinced it's required?
