    On 7th March 2002, the great God SiCo proclaimed "Let there be AJB007.co.uk!!" and there was! :D

    It's been around for nigh on 10 years now. There's still a few of us kicking around that have been here from the very start or, in the case of myself, not long after. As for going back in time to find the first posts, pass, I'm not technically minded like that, but there's probably some sort of way to do it.

    One website you can use to see what old versions of websites looked like is The Internet Archive Wayback Machine, located here...

    http://www.archive.org/web/web.php

    ...just plug in the website, click the "Take Me Back" button, select your year and look for dates that have snapshots of the website.

    Wow!!! I just realized I started posting here just about two years after the birth of AJB. Time sure does fly when your having fun. I don't know what I'd do with out AJB. Great conversation with great people. Thanks SiCo for making AJB the best James Bond fan site on the internet. And thanks to all the members here who help make this the best Bond site on the internet.

    It was the night before my exams, and all was quiet, nothing moved not even a mouse. I had a vision of a man in a Tux with a bottle of champagne holding a gun. I thought to myself this is odd, I know I'll build a James Bond website... :007)

    Ok it's not that interesting! The site started in 1998 while I was revising for my GCSE's I think it must of been. It launched the night before my Geography exam I believe. It started as a general James Bond history website with Midi Music playing in the background (it was a whole lot of class!). It moved from free web host to free web host and gradually got bigger and more detailed. Then came the news and a forum hosted via a free service (unfortunately all these posts are no more).

    As I grew I became more tech savvy and developed a forum for the site, this was probably launched in 2002 as M5 says. During the heyday I was spending more time gathering news and sifting through gossip than I did living! Then dark clouds formed above us and we went through some dark days! The site relaunched shedding most of the information and all of the graphics leaving the forum at the centre of attention.

    A couple of years ago the forum was technically in need of some love so I moved it over to a new platform and in turn, unfortunately lost even more of the information (from the web at least, it's sitting waiting to be dusted off) as I didn't have the time to sort it all out.

    However the site is still here and will still remain through 2012 and beyond hopefully! Thanks to you the members (group hug!).

    I migrated across to AJB from Si's original ez message boards ... I seem to recall this was in around 2000 or so. Or perhaps earlier because I seem to remember discussing TWINE when it was released. Si gave it a huge amount of spit and polish around the time of DAD (shame the same couldn't have been said for that film).

    There have been ups and downs, but we're still here!

    That was it, that brings back memories, Ezboard. I am pretty sure it's all gone now. They seem to be called Yuku now. It had banner ads and everything. I wish I could of kept everything in an archive now.

    Wow, 10 years. I thought I had been posting here a while ... :o

    In the time I've been here, I don't believe the overall look of AJB has changed - not that that's a bad thing, mind you.

    It really is a great site. -{

    The mods are pretty good really as well - topics can go far enough before being reined back in so things aren't over sensored.

    Anyway happy new year to all on here! :D

    This is a very interesting thread on the history of AJB and should be celebrated as such. :)
