I would like to think Judi Dench loves playing the character of "M" and looks forward to it each time. Judi Dench has said recently she would like to play M for life. Perhaps, now the age of 77, Dench has considered along with the EON Producers that 007 times as M since 1995 is enough.
In the back of my mind, this may just all be part of the plot in the movie and in the end, Judi Dench will still be sitting in the leather chair. Or is it possible M could get a promotion?
The World is Not Enough took the story of M a step further by having her be kidnapped and locked up. Would they really go so far as to critically or fatally injure M in this new movie? The word of mouth would be tremendous.
I afraid to read anything about the plot of SKYFALL. I do want to be surprised November 9, 2012. But, I can't help myself.

Thank you Martin Aston for putting my message from Secret_007 Yahoo Group on ajb007. That is very nice of you. It is so shoking, if true, I just knew ajb007 members would want to discuss it. I almost hesitated and waited for a couple days to see if EON Productions would make a statement, but then I thought, the fans needed to know what was being said. It's too juicy to let it slip by.
Ralph Fiennes has finally revealed what kind of role he will be playing. Previously, he has set the record straight he will not be petting a white cat. So that puts to rest the rumors of him playing "Blofeld". Does it?
Ralph Fiennes reveals he will be playing a "government official". However, he can not reveal the name of the character.
Ralph Fiennes has enjoyed the James Bond novels, more than the movies he has seen.
Fiennes said, "I used to be a complete nerd about the books and the detail in them. They are fantastic. There was Fleming's obsession with different kinds of champagne and caviar. He kind of fetishes these things."
Now here is the surprising news. Get out your handkerchief.
According to an insider at EON Productions who revealed to MovieWeb:
The movie, SKYFALL (2012), will be the final appearance of Judi Dench in the role as "M".
The insider also says Ralph Fiennes will be taking over the role of "M".
THIS HAS NOT BEEN CONFIRMED!
Previously, Judi Dench, now 77, has said she wants to play "M for life.
Last year, we have been hearing rumors that Ralph Fiennes was also playing a villain.
Then, the role Fiennes would be playing was kept very quiet. Even the rumors that he was going to be a villain had been hushed.
The attention was then focused on Javier Bardem as the main villain.
Another rumor is Albert Finney would be playing M's boss. Will Albert Finney play a role of someone from M's past?
It was said a few years ago that Judi Dench was considering leaving the role of "M", but Barbara Broccoli talked her in to playing "M" once again.
Aren't we all under the impression that Judi Dench loves playing the role of "M" and looks forward to it each time? Why it's icing on the cake. It's the bubbles in the champagne that tickle her nose.
Whether their is any truth to what the insider says that MovieWeb has printed, remains to be seen.
After all, the movie isn't nearly finished filming and has at leas five to six more months to go. Anything can happen and, of course, changes can be made along the way as they have been doing already.
I would rather see M retired than assassinated, as I hope we can avoid the dreadful ' and this time it's personal' type cliche. The series has too often looked inwardly rather than focus on the outside world. I have been hoping for no continuations (enough already ) no overt personal connections, but a new stand alone adventure. I'm all for a bit of navel gazing with our boy forced to make difficult choices that challenge him and his motives.
I certainly think the idea of Finney playing M's husband is far-fetched. For starters, when the Bond films take time to focus on M's marital bliss, then they've truly lost focus, and I don't want to see Albert Finney in an apron fixing a sack lunch for 'his little cabbage' as she heads out to the office. Even if Dench were to lose her position as M, whether by resignation or a well-place assassin's bullet, I don't think the chain of command is to promote the husband, regardless of his current job. I'd hate to think about the things MI6 would say about him as being the man who 'slept his way to the top'.
Fiennes seems a too large a name for this idea, but I could see him being a good Tanner, Chief of Staff.

I seem to remember seeing M's husband in casino Royale, am I right? In bed, reading a newspaper or something like that.
He was indeed on the other side of the bed when M receives a call about 007 from MI6.
From what I remember you could only see part of his face since he had his back to the camera. He was also sleeping so half his head was buried in the pillow.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope

He is not seen very well at the moment that M receives the call, it turns to the other side

Might not of Been M's Husband, she might be a bit of a swinger in her private life. )
Hadn't even thought of that. )

Well, the rumor that was first said last January has come back again, April 5, only now an "insider" on the set is saying they just filmed the death scene of "M". The character is being killed. Judi Dench is leaving the franchise.
Sony Pictures declines to respond to the rumor.
We have not heard a word from Miss Dench, but of course, she is sworn to secrecy not to reveal a word about SKYFALL.
Today, April 6, 2012, the rumor is spreading like wildfire all over the gossip circus. Even SKY News is now reporting the rumor.
Dreadful woman. Awful character.
Hysteric, shrill, condescending, hateful, and ugly from the inside out.
One can't believe she's the leader of anything, not even maid service.
Judi Dench torpedoed this franchise like a heat-sinking missile.
Good riddance to bad rubbish, if it's true.
Now they can go back to an M who isn't waging a gender war on Bond and the male audience every time she steps in front of the camera.

Are we discussing the lastest April 2012 rumor here now that is all over the news? If I can't discuss it here then I don't want to get in trouble. I'm dying to talk about it.

Mmmm...but this role is already taken...
Fiennes seems better as the bad guy.....I'd be surprised if he were in more than the one Bond film....
There's a Harry Potter-sized franchise gap in his schedule now, though...
Because they do from the beginning?, Not kill or retire over the film
