Great news! Not wishing to poop the party but I was hoping for an expanded QOS like the CR deluxe edition. I read somewhere it was scheduled to be released but was pulled, probably due to the issues with MGM.
I haven`t invested in blu-ray yet, and this box set wll not change my mind. In my opinion there are two major special features missing in the Bond universe:
-commentary tracks by ALL the Bond actors (Connery to Craig) for all the movies.
- many more of the screentests. Not only the actors who actually landed the roles, but also other screentests that are of interest.
I know this is a lot to ask, but it should be the goal for the next Bond box set.
Hi Welshboy
For some reason I thought every film in the boxset would be a double disc. In addition there would be a bonus disc meaning 45 discs in total. Probably explains why the retail price is low. If they are going to streamline the content in the box set, then I will give it a miss and get them individually.

The current ones out on blu ray are all single disc if my memory serves correct, I think Casino Royale deluxe is the exception. I don't think there will be any double disc versions (individually)

I think Connery is prob too stubborn to do a commentary (I'm sure they have tried)
It looks like they could only persuade Brosnan to do one.
I guess DC is too busy for this kind of thing at the mo, though I imagine he wouldn't be arsed either
You are probably right, I thought the same.
I don`t know how Brosnan feels about Bond now, he might still be bitter from the way he was treated after DAD. Lazenby and Dalton should be the most likely candidates.

I wish that the deluxe version of CR was included in the box set. I own the three disc DVD version and I love it. It has some of the best bonus features I have ever seen on a DVD. I am still a little disapointed that QOS got the short end of the stick. I know that their is a deleted scene of Mr. White talking with Guy Haines that was to follow the scene in Russia at the end of the film.
Still I think that I am going to strongly consider buying this when it comes out,and just swap out the CR Blu ray for the deluxe version.
If I hadn't already bought the Connery Blu-rays I might invest in the 50th Anniversary box-set. But I don't like duplicating the same thing over and over again. For the Moore and Dalton and Brosnan films I'm content with the Ultimate Edition DVDs.
All I want on Blu-ray are You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Diamonds Are Forever.
Besides the box-set contains Casino Royale and that film isn't allowed in my house.

The Blu-ray box set has been reduced from $200 to $186 and now comes with a "Limited Addition Hardcover Book". It is getting harder to not pre-order these even though I own some of the blu-rays already.

Even I have bought a player but still listen to my vinal bond soundtracks on
my gramophone.
But I agree there doesn't seem to be any new DVD releases for the 50th anniversary.
"I've been informed that there ARE a couple of QAnon supporters who are fairly regular posters in AJB."
Can't wait either! At this point, I own 3 Bond movies on Blu-ray. (the box with GF, MR and TWINE)
I think am definitely going for this upgrade! You seem to notice a lot of stuff that just wents passed you on the DVD versions. I can't believe how well Goldfinger looked, a movie of '64, looking so sharp it could have been made today! Really impressed by it! Can't wait to see the others in that quality! -{
I've got most of the Blu-Rays that have been released, and they definitely look great, especially the early ones. I remember putting in Dr. No for the first time and being blown away about how good it looked. Like Dutchfinger said, sometimes they look like period piece films that were actually made today.
I know they want people to buy the whole box set, but I hope they release all the films individually in a reasonable amount of time. I would hate to have to get doubles, and I'd rather have the separate cases.
I didn't see that artwork before! - I wonder if the one's that aren't released yet on blu-ray will eventually end up being available seperatly like these one's as well.. (I'm sure eventually they will be..)
I'm not a big fan of this new artwork either, I think I am going for the 50 year anniversary set anyway
I like them (especially the covers on the Connery films). I disliked the previous Blu-Ray artwork for the series, so these are a welcome attempt at some unified style while still working with the individual films' own elements.

Interesting, first time I've seen the new artwork (if of course that is not a mockup)
I can't say I liked the last Blu Ray artwork either, I simply chucked my blu rays on eBay and bought the box set which looks great!
