I wanted to know some of your favorite quotes/slogans/philosophies from any source. It can be humorous or particularly meaningful.
It can be Bond, but it goes without saying, "Bond... James Bond," is on the list.
I'll start:
"The little things... there's nothing bigger, is there?" David Aames, Vanilla Sky (and many more from Vanilla Sky)
"Live every week like it's Shark Week." - Tracy Jordan, 30 Rock
"Nemo vir est qui mundum non reddat meliorem." (Original Latin)
"What man is a man who does not make the world better?" - Kingdom of Heaven
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
-Marianne Williamson (I'm not religious, but I think this one is nice. Often misquoted as being by Nelson Mandela, but he was reciting it in his speech. Can be interpreted to be yourself or to let your ego run wild because it will somehow help people. I think Jack Donaghy would believe the latter ) )
"The World you have entered was created by The Walt Disney Company and is dedicated to Hollywood—not a place on a map, but a state of mind that exists wherever people dream and wonder and imagine, a place where illusion and reality are fused by technological magic. We welcome you to a Hollywood that never was—and always will be. ”
—Michael Eisner, May 1, 1989, Dedicating Disney's Hollywood Studios
Angela: Extension 128.
Creed: [over phone] Hiya Pumpkin, it's Creed.
Creed: Say, we're gonna ditch this bitch. You in?
Angela: No.
Creed: Are you out? [Angela hangs up] Pumpkin's out, let's go gang! [they all make a run for the door, Dwight re-enters room with only Angela left]
Not a quote, but one of my favorite cold opens from The Office (US)

Admit nothing, deny everything and make counter-accusations.
"You cannot lead a man to a desert, then give him water and call that compassion."
"Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither."
"Commerce with all nations, alliance with none."
And my favourite, "Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."
Can anyone identify these people?
As above...
Though the Reagan quote should be "Believe me, you cannot create a desert, hand a person a cup of water and call that compassion"
It was made in this speech, which contains one of my favourite quotes - "covered" by Reagan
"And in those moments when we grow tired, when our struggle seems hard, remember what Eric Liddell, Scotland's Olympic champion runner, said in Chariots of Fire: "So where does the power come from to see the race to its end? From within. God made me for a purpose, and I will run for His pleasure."

Where are all the ronnie reagans when we need them?
Excellent knowledge (I assume you didn't look them up), those are all heroes of mine except one, no prizes for guessing.
Regarding Reagan, I think his name is regularly used by people who don't hold any of his values but want some of his tremendous popularity.
William Congreve
Darkness can't drive out Darkness; Only light can do that.
Hatred Can't drive out hatred; Only love can do that.
Martin Luther King
Men never plan to be Failures, They simply Fail to plan for success.
Willian A Ward
If ifs and ands where Pots and pans, then we'd all have a pot to P*ss In.
This is Mine, ( as far as I know )
The bold part below is my conclusion on what this means to me.
I am not very religious despite being raised Christian. These days I live with facts and evidence, and for the things unproven, I'll stick to the I don't know category. I just sort of lost that innocence where you can say there are angels and blessings of God making life pleasurable when there is no evidence for those things and as a rational human being, I just can't conclude that they are there. It sort of gives me a chuckle when someone says they are blessed to have done well in classes or to get a promotion because in my life, I credit myself with those successes. They are things I put effort into and I am not able to blindly credit them to someone else as blessings and plans that I am not responsible for.
Don't get me wrong, I think a lot of things are good in religion, but I just can't believe much of the stories for fact. I'd still raise my own family on religion, even if I am not within it myself these days.
Anyways, I take evidence and anything that has no evidence is just in the unknown category for me, which is why I like this quote. Despite not being certain if the wonderful idea of Heaven exists after life, or even Hell, I'd like to think we do get to experience them on Earth, preferably Heaven for those of us who are respectful and responsible as we do our best.
So the quote really just makes me think of these unbelievable moments of perfection that happen while we are here and certain. Things like playing with your smiling kids on a beautiful day, having a great laugh with your father, eating that good-enough homemade cake that your mother baked for you, warm sun on your skin during a wonderful cool breeze, feeling absolutely in love to the point where just staring at the love of your life feels like 'magic soaking your spine', driving at sunset and noticing that gorgeous rustle that the leaves make, listening to a song that makes you want to walk slow because it just feels so good to take it in, and so on...
I just think for me, no matter what goes on in the parts of existence I don't know about, and no matter how awful the fear is that no one you were hoping to see again will be waiting for you on the other side, you have got what I'd call Heaven right now by being here, by having what it means to be alive, which stands out so well once we tread through the hard stuff and our own personal depths.
I believe that, at the very least, Heaven is a place on Earth.
'Just because nobody complains doesn't mean all parachutes are perfect.'- Benny Hill (1924-1992)
I'd never seen this one before, amazing how even many years after it's still so True. )
"Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it."
Patrick Bateman
"Drivers exist in a world where decisions made in fractions of seconds could mean the difference between life and death; you do not allow yourself to be held ransom by emotions, especially fear."
Ayrton Senna
I don't think any explanation is needed for that one.

I know someone who did. He sh*t in a pot of resin and catalyst, fished it out and polished it when it had set hard. Then put it on his shelf. He was progressing nicely towards insanity when I last saw him...

"Dragon seeks path , dragon whips his tail !" (Way of Dragon)
MASH :
Charles: Sir, my father knows Harry Truman. He doesn't like him, but he knows him.
Col. Potter: Fine, you have dad call Harry, then have Harry call me, and then we will work something out. In the mean time, vamoose.
Charles: Yes, sir, I am... vamoosing. But know this. You can cut me off from the civilized world. You can incarcerate me with two moronic cellmates. You can torture me with your thrice daily swill, but you cannot break the spirit of a Winchester. My voice shall be heard from this wilderness and I shall be delivered from this fetid and festering sewer.
Col. Potter: I think he's starting to get the hang of this place.
