Your first Bond film?

About a year ago I asked you what got you liking Bond. I was just wondering now what was your first Bond film you watched? mine was You only live twice when I was very little, I just remember the pre-titles, title sequence, and blofeld pressing the button releasing the bridge over the prihannas. many years later, my neighbour loved Bond, I saw his car collection of the Bond cars and he was telling me about the Moore movies. Got the first Bond I laid my eyes on in the DVD rental place and got Goldeneye. Thought it was okay, a worthy action film. My dad suggested a Moore film, he use to watch them when they came out in cinemas. Got FYEO, bought it and loved it. From now on, I'm a Bond fan.
What about you?

Goldeneye was the first I watched in full (because I really loved the Nintendo 64 game).

Although I have a memory of sitting around with my family and watching LTK. I distinctly remember the part where hes sneaking around Wavecrest's warehouse and throws the guard in that tray full of mealworms (or whatever they were). But I cant say whether I saw the whole film or not. For some reason that memory stuck with me for years but I never knew what the film was until years later when i watched LTK on my own.

My first time was TSWLM in a theater in Stuttgart/Germany, that had a balcony/gallery.

    I was 13 and had the impression, that noone could do a better movie -{

The World is Not Enough. Yeah, I've always though it was an odd one to come into the series on - I'd be interested to know if this was the first for anyone else. But despite the criticisms it gets, it'll always have a special place in my heart along-side Pierce Brosnan. It left quite an impression. I never forgot Bond's escape from the Bilbao bank (I spent the year after peering over the sides of highrise windows imagining what it would be like) and the ski chase. :D
Then he looked again at Bond and spoke very quietly, the red moustache lifting slowly from the splayed upper teeth.
"I should spend the money quickly, Commander Bond," he said.
Then he turn away from the table and walked swiftly out of the room.

My first film was A View To A Kill. I think it got me into Bond because I live just south of San Francisco. I saw lots of familiar sites in the film.

Im knocking on 30 now so as a kid the Moore Bond films were always on TV, sometimes as premiers! Octopussy was the first I remember watching. I only ever remembered snippets of it like the clown at the start, Bond burning off the leeche thing, and the knife throwers. Its because of this that i've always had a thing for Moore even if his films arnt the best.

It's either Diamonds Are Forever or The Man With the Golden Gun. I don't remember which, but I do distinctly remember a scene where Bond was hanging from the rafters. I watched it on television back when I was a kid in Hong Kong in the 1980s.

They aren't exactly the best Bond films, but they were good enough to have got me hooked :)

The first Bond movie I ever saw at the cinema was GoldenEye. Me and my friends had been looking forward to it because we "discovered" Bond around 1992. I think Octopussy was the first Bond movie I ever saw.

As a kid of Four and a half :D I can remember seeing OHMSS,
well I remembered bits of it ( Until I saw the film years later
and realised it had been OHMSS ).
Later pestered My big Brother to take Me to see LALD, Although it wasn't
until 1975 and Dr No was first shown on TV, that I became a fan.
From that point I began reading the books and watching the films as they were shown on TV. My first
Big Bond Movie, like many others was TSWLM, simply Fantastic for 77 and just made me more of a Bond
    Fan.
Since then I've seen every movie ( several times ) as they're released and the spending on Bond Began.
First taping the Movies from the TV, ( the only reason for buying my first Video recorder )
Then buying the videos, then the wide screen videos, Then getting the DVDs, next getting the Remastered DVDs
and now I've just Ordered the New Blu-ray Boxset.
To think people think Lucas can milk a series. :))

My first was Goldeneye on VHS, I borrowed it from a friend back in the late '90's. He said it was a good movie. Once i saw it i was hooked! Even after seeing it hundreds of times, I still remember watching the opening sequence in the living room at my old house.

My first one was the first one,Dr No, which I saw in the local theater. I'd read the book about a year earlier. A family friend
had loaned a Signet paperback of DN to my father.

I saw Dr. No at the Northgate Theater in North Memphis, TN sometime in early or mid-1963.

When I was 5 I saw LALD with my parents at a Drive in. I think they thought I would be asleep before it came on but I stayed with it. I hid my eyes during all the snake scenes. I was hooked. Next one I saw in a theatre was Moonraker when I was older.

My very first movie was TMWTGG on television. I thought Nick Nack was so cool. Then I saw Moonraker on television. After that my third one was Octopussy on home video hire. I can't remember what order I saw the others from then on.

Probably GF in mid 1970s on black and white telly. Made an impression, that and TB, but I rarely got to see Dr No or FRWL, they rarely had showings in second half of Seventies, while YOLT and so on got wheeled out on telly in due course.

I think it wasLive and Let Die on the tv, and I think I was about eight or so. I saw For Your Eyes Only at the cinema. Tha title always stays with me because I had an uncle who used to come down from London and take me out when he was here. A friend and I had a go with his pocket pistol of some type, using blanks. My friend looked down the damn barrel as he fired it (!!?.? 8-) ) and damn near burnt his eye out! After he got out of hospital and trying to appease the kids family, my poor uncle got collared taking fifteen of this pikey kids family out for a meal and on to see old Rog in FYEO! Quite an apt title we all thought. :))

    I remember seeing part of Goldeneye at my cousin's house, but didn't pay full attention. I asked my dad about it though, and said there were heaps of Bond films, he took me and showed me a Connery film, I think? But I feel asleep during it I believe, being young at the time(-;
We then bought the ultimate box set collection and the first film I properly saw was LALD. It's been a favourite ever since. I would watch it over and over; I remember watching the aeroplane escape scene so many times with my younger brother hahaha!

I remember watching a trailer for DAF on tv around the time of it's release, specifically the chase around the car park in Las Vegas. My full introduction to Bond was LALD. I was already a fan of Roger Moore because of The Saint and The Persuaders so it was a must see. I was blown away, especially by the boat chase sequence as I had seen nothing like it before.

At the cinema it was GoldenEye. Didnt like Brosnan in the role then but i prefer him to Craig.

I believe it was GoldenEye. I use to watch it, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World Is Not Enough a lot when I was younger...that was before I was a huge fan of series like I am now, though.

I saw Goldeneye with my uncle when it first came to video, Casino Royale was the first in the theater. I became obsessed with Bond ever since Goldneye 64 came out and the hype for Tomorrow Never Dies.
Away at Boot Camp, won't be back until April the earliest.

I remember seeing bits of a lot of the films when I was younger, like Dr. No, Goldfinger, The Man with the Golden Gun, A View to a Kill, and Licence to Kill - I have no idea in what order, but I'm pretty sure it was probably Goldfinger first - but the first one where I remember watching the whole thing was GoldenEye, and as a result that's become a nostalgic favourite of mine. Up until I was about 10 I probably watched it three or four times a year... :L
