£500 should get you a new one. They are so easily customised as well. You can even get a 200 round drum magazine! Folding or retractable stocks, silencers built into the shroud plus any sight, laser system can be made to fit. I love mine, but have kept it simple - mainly financially viable to be honest.
The Ruger 10/22 has many stock systems now - truly a gun for all occasions. Well worth a look.

I'm also a big Star Trek fan. I've seen every episode of Star Trek ever made, and every film, at least once. I've been to three conventions. There are times in the 'James Bond quotes conversation' thread elsewhere in this forum that I have to double check to make sure the line I wrote is from Bond and not Trek
I also enjoy watching Formula 1, Australian rules football, and international cricket.
And finally, I have an interest in commercial aviation, and am an amateur plane spotter I also collect diecast models of commercial airliners.

Are you excited for the currently-filming Star Trek sequel from JJ Abrams? I am . I love lens flare.

In a way, yes. I wasn't keen on the last film - the first of the 're-boot' series set in an alternate timeline. There were far too many inconsistencies with The Original Series for my liking. Granted, the whole idea of the film was that in an alternate universe, things happen differently, but I would've preferred it if they had continued with the Star Trek prime timeline post-Nemesis.
Nevertheless, that's the direction the producers have chosen, so I hope it works well for them.

Love Aussie Rules football! Saw a bit over there and played a couple of games with some mates. You don't see any coverage over here. Shame.

Cars and racing/F1/Le Mans, WWII and history, video games, making and discovering new or better drinks, attempting to play guitar, music, astronomy, collecting tons of crap from TV shows, movies and inspirations and so much more. In general, I like too much crap. 8-)
Away at Boot Camp, won't be back until April the earliest.
I'd have guessed you were into racing with a user name like that!
I love Formula One, and am going to Silverstone this year to watch. I hope Vettel doesn't trounce the rest of the grid so much this season - too predictible, boring even.

As a bit of a Vettel fan myself, I beg to differ
I'm a Williams fan first and foremost, so I've been on both sides of the fence in my time watching F1: Williams utter dominance throught the mid 90s was very enjoyable to watch, whereas Ferrari's dominance in the early 2000s isn't. For me, I guess it depends on whether I like the driver / team that's doing the dominating. If I like them, I wouldn't mind having a driver or a team trounce the opposition. In fact, I'd find it enjoyable. But if I don't, then I would find it very boring indeed.
Went to Silverstone in 2009, JB had a horrible race that year, lol. Great race, great track, before the modern changes, I would love to go back but traveling to the UK is pricey! Make sure to be at Copse for quali!

Car 'detailing' & by that I mean machine polishing cars, waxing them & generally making the all round appearance spotless.
I like the idea of a perfectly prepped car but can't be bothered halfway through! I got the car spotless using a power wash yesterday. Trouble is, I live in the country and the minor roads are covered in mud so by the time I got back you would barely notice. X-( The kids have trashed the back with wrappers, crisps and unidentified sticky stuff, so I gave it a vaccum and cleaned all the leather with saddlery wax. That's the business, and now looks perfect. I tend to wash OR do the inside, and never manage to wash, polish, wax and valet in the same day.

Glad I stayed loyal to the guy, always knew he'd make it one day.
