Have you got a dirty Bond secret you want to admit to? Have you got a naughty confession you want to get out there?
Here's mine: I've never finished Carte Blanche. I got bored. I couldn't get past the fact that the villain in a Bond novel was basically a garbageman, and so I've never completed it. And now it sits in my library taunting me with its unfinishedness, shouting "call yourself a Bond fan?", but I just can't be bothered.
I feel much better now.

I decided to "Come out" as a Bond Fan., Proudly showing her my Collection ( which of course was kept in my
bedroom ).
Much to my embarresment, I'd forgotten that included in my collection ( I must add I'd gotten them in my
teens ;% ) was a set of several Playboy mags with various Bond girls along with some more down market
mags, which also had a couple of minor Bond girls in.
To this day she laughs at how Red my Face got. ) It really was a case of Pussy Galore. )
BUT IM STILL A BOND FAN
STILL A BOND NUT, thats what my friends call me. bond nut

Overwhelms me, and I think in almost since I wake up, perhaps because the first thing I see is a cabinet with the products.
Before movies only saw 007, and read some books, but since I participate in forums, I was overwhelmed
Maybe you should stop writing for a anytime
"I should spend the money quickly, Commander Bond," he said.
Then he turn away from the table and walked swiftly out of the room.
I won't be seeing it again until the kids go to University and I get a Room Back . )
But, Bond is so loved in popular culture... Not sure where the shame is from. I wouldn't judge you!

On the flip side, FRWL is not one of my favorites. I have two main issues with it: 1. Connery's performance always struck me as a bit off. I can't put my finger on it.... 2. None of the big set-pieces—gypsy camp fight, helicopter chase, boat chase—worked for me. I don't think they were well-staged. The fight with Red Grant was of course fantastic, but I really think Terence Young wasn't at his best with huge action sequences. And the final chase scenes really felt tacked-on, which they essentially were.

I'm not sure if Bond is a good role model. I mean, he doesn't have any mates does he? We never see him in a situation where has to resolve a problem through group discussion or anything, it's just him steamrolling his way through.
Roger Moore 1927-2017
As Vesper notes in Casino Royale, MI6 prefers agents with less of the normal daily personal lives, making Bond's orphan status and hardened military personality ideal. He is perhaps inspiring in some aspects, but as a role model, he strays from the 'good man' in specific ways.
haha Thanks. Yeah I'm not to sure where it comes from either. Very perplexing.
I couldn't agree more! I've only ever read Fleming's novels and Devil May Care (which I really enjoyed luckily enough). The only other novel out of the non-Fleming titles that I intend to read is Colonel Sun due to it's traditional ties with Fleming's work. Something's off about the rest of them and I have no interest in how other authors tackle the character in the literary world. Some things are sacred. -{

Also, Roger is my favourite, and his movies will probably be the most played in my collection! ahhaha! (-:

Sorry to his fans but He's Simply not Bond.
So my Interest in Skyfall is Mild. First time in years I'm not excited
about a new adventure for Bond.
And here I was thinking that you were warming to him )
I have had to work hard to focus upon the positive (of which there is quite a bit) in order to be able to accept him. Otherwise I felt that I like you I would have little interest in the current run of films which for a Bond fan is (as I'm sure that you will recognise is a tough gig)
I guess mine is my constant love for Moonraker ... I hide it outside my top 3 favourites, but in truth I love it to pieces. I must have watched it hundreds of times.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest. It was made in the 70's and 80's, it was suited for that time. Just like dalton was suited for the more action, films like lethal weapon and die hard. Its not that bad. Moonrakers good, the space film is a little corny but who cares. Lois Chiles is awesome, jaws is better then ever, venice is wonderful, the villian hugo drax is so cool, cool enough to get a member copy his name its not a guily pleasure if you like moonraker, or any bond film.

Predator I'm with you on that one! I watch it almost everytime I'm sick! Always cheers me up!
I don't really understand why there is so much hate on it.
If you ask me, Rog's performance is still pretty good coming off TSWLM, the bond girl is alright, Drax makes for a deadly yet subtle villian, Bond actually does some spying in it etc. Apart from Jaws and the space battle I think it's pretty decent. ;%
Oops, better stop preachin'
