I've always thought Diamonds Are forever was kind of Boring and weird
Cloning Blofeld!
Egypt and the gloop stuff? Diamond laser, and you dont actually see Blofeld die, just get his vehicle smashed. Connery looks out of shape, and unlike Moore, looks a bit more like a grandfather, doesn't look so fresh-faced and cool like DN. If i was to make DAF better I would shove in a different actor, Connery was great, but he has pasted his time at the end of YOLT. Place in Lazenby, that would of made it great. Keep in Telly Savalas and make more of a license to kill type film, that would of been great. Chuck out the weird twin thing, and keep the action swift, and keep the humour low till the Moore films. What do you reckon, DAF weird? Any other films that strike you as a little odd,

Anyway, I think generally TMWTGG gets the wrap as the weirdest Bond outing, a third nipple, a pint-sized henchman, etc. but I personally feel that AVTAK is truly the weirdest Bond ever.
AVTAK is my pick for many reasons:
1) Mayday, period. As a character overall, her love scene with Bond AND her animal-like growls when pinned down by Zoran - not to mention their kiss.
2) Christopher Walker (although brilliant in this and many movies) gives off a strange vibe. Though it is effective for his character I guess.
3) The random acts of violence (the pumping station, "intuitive improvisation", the mine massacre, Tibbett and Lee's murders and more). Don't get me wrong I do enjoy some of these scenes, the massacre may be one of my favourites from the movie for it's sheer derangement, but in a lighthearted Moore movie they seem hyper-violent and out of place I guess.
4) Bond bedding - or showering - Stacy after an almost father like relationship with her for the majority of their scenes together.
5) All the horse stuff, in perspective, is pretty unrelated to the main plot and goes on for quite a bit. Plus, for some reason, the thought of surgery on animals by a sadistic Nazi doctor gives me the creeps.
These are just my top five, there a plenty more, the whole movie just feels strange in one way or another. -{
"I should spend the money quickly, Commander Bond," he said.
Then he turn away from the table and walked swiftly out of the room.
1. Obviously the whole space vibe is weird and out of place for a Bond film.
2. Laser Guns. I mean really?
3. Bond battles a giant snake.
4. Q dresses up as a Mexican.
5. Jaws falls in love.
6. A gondola that can be driven onto the road?
7. Double taking pigeons.
The case rests your honour.
Agreed. I think the whole film is just off. I cant even bear to buy it and have never owned it.

Some had strange cut sequences or unexplained sequences but none were 'weird' in my opinion.
LALD. Although in retrospect its fair to say not weird, as much as surreal. The Voodoo aspects that Dr Kananga uses to scare the natives and the inquisitive. Although the film reveals that Baron Samidi's abilities are technological (the exploding statue) as a wee squirt it stayed with me and scared me. - As an adult I see the film in a different light, and my only criticism of it now is no Q. But that closing sequence with the maniacal laugh at he front of the train, and the skulls on fire as the credits roll still gives me the creeps!
DAF I'd say is outlandish, it doesn't feel part of the Connery era Bondverse. Having said that I like it except the writing make Tiffany look an airhead in the final third. Jill St John is amazing.
Moonraker and DAD both suffer from Sci Fi overload syndrome. The tech and whiz bang concept overload the characters and they are left lost as a result, especially in the final big battles of both films. I always liked Moonraker regardless, because the Space Shuttles were real tech which was nice to see, and QoS has made me re-evaluate DAD. In spite of the tech overload, the actors all get at least one good scene each. Except poor Toby Stevens. Crying shame, he is damned good in other things I have seen him in!
I saw him in a poirot mystery, very good
