Have you ever had a Bond item before Bond had it?

Perhaps you smuggled budgies in Grigio Perla swimming trunks even before Bond emerged from the ocean in his, or you kept your money safely held in a Douglas Pell money clip pre-"Casino Royale"? Or maybe your briefcase was a nice Swaine Adeney number long before the "From Russia With Love" premiere.
In short, have you ever had affirmation of your Bond sartorial credentials by spying something in a Bond film that was already in your own wardrobe/shoe rack/gadget drawer?

I've had two pairs of the Orlebar Brown 'Setter' shorts for a couple of years, one navy the other in sky. If they are what DC is wearing in Skyfall of course :v
But he made it cool.
Yeah, was doing the pasty skin, pink-eyed, left out in the cold look years before JB. In fact, way back in the day when he was tall, dark and sophisticated-looking.
Other than that... you must be joking! That's why Bond's Bond, and I'm not.
Brilliant thread idea, though!

Does that sort of thing really count?
I mean, Christ, I was using a Parker ballpoint pen at school 20 years before GE.... )
Lennon and McCartney had Aston Martin DB's before Bond in the films...
I took a tour group to multiple CASINO ROYALE locations before the film debuted. We were at the construction/Mollaka chase site and everyone said, "What is this?" I replied, "No spoilers from me but take lots of pictures, trust me, you'll be happy when the film airs and you realize where've you been!" One of the guests on tour had slept in the "Liberian Embassy" many years before we toured there.
I thought of a number of Bond adventure ideas before they were filmed. I had a treatment including a car chase along an Italian scree and Bond landing onto a bus--and being too breathless for any catchphrases.

A real oldie-goldie thread could be, "What Bond films (books) did you like before they were popular?"
Bond comix author Don McGregor made his mom drive him 50 miles one way to catch DR NO after reading Fleming. He later saw GOLDFINGER 17 times in theatres. Another pal saw GOLDENEYE 16 times in the movies, not yet knowing it would rank as Brosnan's best film...
...It's also hard to figure who really liked OHMSS before it became chic in the DVD/Lazenby an infamous actor era! I always loved the novel, it's such a stellar book. JFK really did like FRWL before the novel ever appeared on his top reading list...
I'm pretty sure it does. But The Domino Effect started the thread, so I'll leave it to him to be the arbiter.

I was tempted to say "...and nothing predictable like the latest model of Omega or mundane like, uhh, black socks..." but then thought better of it and decided to leave it completely open. So, Jack Purcells only counts if they are the exact model used in CR. However, any Parker ballpoints are good
Well, I had one without the symbol 007, and no gas, but it was the beep. But he lost
This thread is a good idea, it's pretty clever.
I had a Dunhill wallet before Dalton used one.
I had a face like a smacked arse long before they cast Craig.
Yep, the exact Jack Purcells as seen in the Bond convalescence scenes.
