Just got an email from a tom Ford retailer and he said, that tom Ford do not send catalogs so there is no way of knowing what's in the autumn / winter collection.
However he cannot find anything that points to a skyfall edition being produced.

I am wondering as some of the ties are showing up does this point to the glasses are out there and there will be no ltd edition....hope there is but strange there is absolutely no mention anywhere official of these.

If I remember rightly the QoS edition TF sunglasses were released right around the film release so maybe still early days. I don't think they were publicly announced until released either hence why many people assumed they were Oliver Peoples
Maybe they won't release a Skyfall edition however we might as well wait incase there is, the Marko are readily available anyhow so no point rushing in my opinion!
That's pretty much what I've heard from several dealers, I find it strange non of them have even heard rumors of any special skyfall release ( even the ones who are aware of the skyfall tie in).
I just got the "Bond On Set: Filming Skyfall" book, and it's full of photos of Craig wearing the TF Marko's on multiple occasions. We're still waiting for the official press release from Tom Ford, though.
I think the Marko's will not be released as a special edition. Rather a Tom Ford product that is used for the movie. Not a special edition licensed by EON like the 108 model. They could have just picked a model that they wanted to shift some stock on and felt Bond would be the perfect vehicle to drive this. So don't think there will be any special edition coming in this model.

Got an email from pretavoir (a fairly large sunglasses & tom ford dealer).
And their customer services said they have it directly [he didn't say who] tom Ford are NOT releasing a skyfall, bond, 007 edition.
This is enough for me and have taken the plunge.
Cue...sods law to release the glasses as I click on place order.
As always I don't know if this is correct just passing it on.
Still on the fence with this one, in the past Tom Ford reps have been pretty clueless and we have had conflicting info from diff Tom Ford stores on various things
I would have to agree, but this isn't just from reps trying to sell ties/shirts ect.
This is from every sunglasses dealer I/we speak to, some of which are really switched on people who would love this product to push sales up.
Not one dealer out of the 10+ that I have contacted have heard of a special release weeks away from the films release.
I hope I am wrong I love the QoS version.
I had asked Harvey Nichols to order / keep me a pair if the Skyfall edition is made
They rang me last week to confirm they have had it direct from Tom Ford that the sunglasses will not be marketed in a limited edition branded Skyfall run
Something to do with profiteering after seeing the high prices the QofS's now go for
Picked up some regular Marco's and what a bonus, the very helpful Harvey Nich's chap gave me a TF JB QofS case that they had left over for free.... Freshens up my QofS pair no end - RESULT !!! )
Would like to clarify if you guys could find out ... the TF marko used by DC in SF , there are 2 options in terms of the box that TF provides, there is a hard case similar to the TF 108's and there is a soft case version. Which one should i get ? (cheers)

i know they are tf 144 Marko 18v lens (however in the Optik Seis ) sort of like the sunglasses retailer store here there are 2 versions of the Tf 144 18 V, the right handle inside of it shows 1-4/09 and 1-4/10 which one is used by Bond ?
Both are similar only difference is in the shades , the 1-4/09 is lighter than the 1-4/10 both are blue lens but when i use them become black. They have 3 stock 1 of the light version and 2 of the darker version the difference is significant only if you put them side by side and looking from inside of the glasses when they reflect of a light the blue is darker on the 1-4/10 one - Hope you guys can help as i have already paid for them Cheers

Funny enough, the pair I bought off eBay says 1-4/11 inside the right arm! I have no idea what these numbers mean, but as welshboy78 said, given that it appears on the inside of the arm, I guess we'll never know which one Craig wore, unless someone gets their hands on a pair of screen-used sunglasses. My best advice would be to pick whichever pair you like best in terms of their colouration, as it sounds like both pairs have the correct 18V colour code.
Also, the Marko's I bought off eBay came with a soft case, although my personal preference is for the hard case with the hinged lid. Again, there's no wrong answer here. Just go with whichever case you like best.
Where would be the cheapest place to get these right now? I found some on newyorkiwear.com and ordered them, but they're backordered, so I'm trying to find a new site.
