    Welcome to the forum ged.

You'll find that collectors on here love info when something is up for sale, how about providing some more info on your item, such as where and how you got it, how long a section is it? Is it mounted in a frame? Have you any pictures of it? Is there any reason you're selling? Would you ship it overseas? Do you have an asking price for it?

By answering questions like these and giving a bit more info you might get more responses and interest.

    Good luck with the sale.

I'm afraid, that my friend MG is missing the point a little :D

Like with all props, the provenance and evidence is EVERYTHING with props.

It may mean a lot to you, but to find out a value, that it represents to others (=market value), the key is, what you have to offer to back up the information, that it's a screen seen prop.

Without that evidence, it's just a piece of bungee rope

My bad, I thought he was flogging it, ya know, the usual 'sell n run' low post count kinda thing going on.

I was kinda trying to be subtle n polite, new member n all that, but I guess what I was really saying is exactly what you just put Markus.

Oh by the way, I got a bungee in my boot, it was used by the crew to hold stuff on the erm, land rover as they erm, filmed the tank chase round Moscow. Anyone want it? It's only been snapped once n I'll even print off a COA for it for an extra £5, £100ono

Elstree Props :D the same that said that they owned the GG and it was stolen :D EON have had there own archive since about 94? before that everything was kept in EONs lock up at Pinewood, so don't that tell you something about Elstree ;)

Yeah I know, but you often get a situation where a new member appears, sells their stuff n leaves, never to be heard of again. Not saying that's what you're about, just what I've seen in the past. I hope your membership here is a long and enjoyable one, welcome aboard!

As for the value of any prop, it's simply worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for it, there's no dead cert on value with this kinda thing, COA's or not.

Hi GED... Don't mind them... These threads always end up looking like this for some reason....

    De ja vu!!! 8-)

I think your rope is probably genuine... I have a few pieces myself and they are stamped with the name of the guys that arranged the jump...

How abt a pic of yours? I'd be happy to try to help autheticate it.

Sadly the vendor u quoted had some serious challenges in recent yrs, hence the comments above.

Enjoy ajb, and trust that all are well meaning....

    hi ged,

    simply;

1/ register an account at an image hosting site, such as imageshack or photobucket
2/ upload your images to your account
3/ when you upload, you'll be given a direct link to your images, this will start something like 'http://imageshack......'
4/ in your ajb posts, click the 'image' button (look at the laughing smiley, track left and you'll see a little mountain range)
5/ you'll see '' appear in the box where you're typing
6/ copy and paste the direct link info into the bit between the brackets, ie '[ img]http://imageshack.......[ /img]'
    7/ click post et voila

You want to know how much it's worth? Put it on eBay with a high value on Buy it Now and wait for the serious offers to come in. No one can predict what is the value, especially since it's something quite unusual that we haven't seen a lot.

That's why it's called market price.
