I went and met up with some fellow AJB's.... and it was fantastic... really worth the visit.
I especially enjoyed the DB's from Casino and Quantum...

I have lots of pics... can I just post them direct on here.... or...? (suggestions welcome!)

You should have kept number 15 on your camera. :D

    Seriously, I really enjoyed your photo's. I had to do a double take on numbers 5/6 before I realised it was Blofeld's submersible from Diamonds Are Forever. Thank you, Lexi. -{

:)) Funny you should mention that (and this might sound a bit weird...) but I want to be buried at sea.... having sailed most of my life, from a military background and swimming my sport of choice, it just seems appropriate.

So I was delighted to see that prop ;)

Not weird at all from someone with your background. I love the burial at sea in You Only Live Twice. Next time I watch it I will think of you......Except in your case there will be no frogmen or submarine. Might be a shark instead. :D

Roger Moore has visited the Bond in Motion exhibition to celebrate the launch of the Bond 50 Blu-ray collection. Apparently, he confessed that his favourite vehicle from his seven Bond films was the Citroen 2CV from For Your Eyes Only.

Some news of interest. The first 50 visitors to the Bond in Motion exhibition tomorrow will receive a gift, according to the official James Bond twitter account. Also, the Rolls Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger and the Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II from A View To A Kill will not be on display during October due to their involvement in the Skyfall Premiere, according to the Bond in Motion website.

An article from the Mail Online at the Bond in Motion exhibition. As well as commenting on the exhibition itself (the DB5 from Skyfall is due to take pride of place this week), the article also goes into the history of The National Motor Museum.

The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu has announced the return of the most iconic of all Bond cars, the Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5, to its Bond In Motion exhibition. The DB5 will be on display for a limited time only, until the end of the Easter holidays. And joining the three Skyfall vehicles currently on display is a third scale miniature model of the Aston Martin DB5 which was used in the filming.

Thanks Moore Than for posting this.
I absoulutly want to go down to see this exherbition. I missed the Designing 007 event in London and really really regret not going.
To those who have been what did you think of Bond in motion, highlights?
  • Bond44Bond44 Vauxhall CrossPosts: 1,581MI6 Agent
I visited last year apart from photographing everything the highlight for me was the glass wall with all Bonds accessories quiet a collection :D and of course the DB5 and DBS collection loved the car make up (to look battered) and the one they rolled.

Tip I booked on line and got a free return within 12 months so heading back later in the year.

Made me wonder why after all these years there has never been a James Bond theme park or dedicated museum. In the same week I visited the kit up for auction at Christies and got a private viewing of the DBS and BMW that wasn't if you know what I mean. Once again plenty of pics for the album

I also missed the Designing JB at the Barbican that would have topped of my 50 Years of JB nicely. Maybe it will come back again if we ask them?

    Enjoy your visit

    Cheers
