007 Mug Stamped danjac 1962

Hi all,

Newbie here with no idea what I have. I found this in a charity shop some months ago and have searched the net high and low for another example.

Do any of you lovely people here know where it's come from, how old it is or what it's worth perhaps? I'm stumped.

Many thanks in advance,

Si

Lol, thanks. That's a start *note to self, it's worth at least a fiver*

    Done deal, PayPal ok? :))

First up, welcome to the forum, hopefully it'll be the start of a long membership for you, of not then good luck with the sale.

As for the value, there's a well used phrase "it's worth as much as anyone is willing to pay for it".

You might have stumbled upon a very rare item, but then again it might just be a very rare unauthorised item, danjac wording or not.

I've not seen anything like this before, but there again I'm a prop guy, and was a mere speck of carbon in 1962, so I've no idea if it's genuine or not.

I quite like it :D , I don't think it is from the 60s though, 1962 is referring to when danjaq started. Id say the mug is from the 90s, though I have never seen one.

People have told me I have an "Ugly Mug" before. This was before I bought this cup though.

To what could they have possibly been referring? 8-)

Hi, its been a while and not sure if you still have the 007 mug with no.7 handle. If you are still interested to know, it is from 'The World of 007: The Official James Bond Exhibition' merchandise. This exclusive copyrighted design and licensed by Eon Productions was only sold at this exhibition launched in 1997 at the Royal Armouries, Leeds. Congratulations on your find as this was one of two designs produced in limited numbers but as the manufacturer used a porous clay most of them broke in transit.

Hope this helps, sorry if anyone calls it 'ugly' but at the time it was the only 007 mug with a number '7' as a handle.
