It has been a strange week, received quite a few items in the post that is worn by DC and / or similar style and none of them bloody fit (doesn't help my diet has been shocking of late)!! Not trying to make money on these, will sell for cost of purchase plus shipping (price includes shipping)

SOLD - Scotch & Soda Ralston Jeans New With Tags (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo & DCs personal fave at the mo)

Save Khaki Shirts Brand New Received today £60 each (cost $100 each) (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - he wears different ones of these throughout)

Size: XL

Received this morning, I have one shirt in Petrol & one in Coal. These are slim fit, I'm usually a XL in shirts but these are far too tight, I'm absolutely gutted as they do not sell a bigger size, they are super soft, very casual (crinkled/creased effect though its worse in the pic as they come packaged in tiny tiny bags hence need an iron) and look amazing with a pair of jeans. I even ordered more as I never once thought an XL would not fit me.

Sta Prest Levi 307 Chino £60

Waist 36, Length 34

Ted Baker Jeans / Trousers £50

Waist 36, Run small, poss for a 34 inch waist

I have always assumed in Casino Royale that when he returns to the Bahamas he is possibly wearing a pair of Ted baker Beige / sand Trouser Jeans. Anyhow regardless of what he wears I purchased these to wear with my Navy Sunspel polo but these are far too small

Please note due to my location shipping is pretty slow (give at least 2 weeks). UK people shipping should be a lot quicker!!

PS - will consider trades for DC style accessories / clothing

Sorry to hear that Welsh. Damn you were loading up with gear. Good luck with the sale.

If they're close to fitting can you just watch your diet and workout for a few weeks to get into them?

    Cheers!!

The Save Khaki shirts are far too small in every sense, I don't think diet would help much as its everything from shoulders, arms etc I dont really care about the jeans as I can size up however I really am gutted about the shirts as XL is the highest Save Khaki go, they are better then I thought they would be (really soft) and hence pretty p£$sed off as I was looking forward to these and even worse ordered more (stupidly)

The perils of online shopping!!! I normally wear 36 for 7 For Mankind and Diesel jeans, just goes to show the differences between designers etc

I see. Yeah and looks like SK only does returns for store credit , that sucks. Doubt I'll order anything from them, because that's unreasonable for online shopping.

When I went on a diet (I lost roughly 60 pounds), I lost weight EVERYWHERE. Even though I was working out at the same time, the measurements on my shoulders, arms, chest, and even neck, went down. You'd be surprised what a good diet/exercise regime will do. I've had to give away of clothes because they look way too big.

I'm saving up to get a sunspel polo in small, because my 3 mediums are now too big in the chest/arms.

That's a rough policy! Thankfully, I don't think I would need an XL from there.

To be honest I'm a bit of a gym monkey, my biceps can hardly get in the shirt - the Save Khaki shirts are def undersized, I have no prob with other XL shirts, just one of those things (I do have fat to budge mind but this is a serious misfit)

Well, I suppose that is the problem with some of those brands. Models, both male and female, are so damned small, they can't help but make more premium brands so small that the average sized male can barely fit in them.

    Most people know this, but:

America is known for Vanity sizing. Besides a higher average height, Americans also tend to have more fat, even the healthy people. We are conditioned to think that we can squeeze in a Medium even if most other places originally called that size large. It is marketing to make us feel better about a brand's fit and it has evolved alongside our increasing waist sizes. Fat people want to think they are in the range of Land's End or Tommy Bahama sizes, so the brands add an inch or so to the sizes despite what they say it is designed to be. Then they make them less slim than other cultures do because they want more people to think that as long as you're in it, you don't need to get a tailored look and it fits the greater range covered by the sizing. Gone are the tailored and athletic cuts of Don Draper's time from most brands.

There is no standard True to size, but the US tends to bend what sizes are actually in the healthful range.

My guess is that the company stands from a European sizing of more classic designer interest or they are trying to size like some higher fashion brands that don't use as much vanity sizing which attempts to include the bigger Americans. Bigger does not mean you are definitely fat or unhealthy, just that you are still bigger.

David Mullen, the designer and owner of Save Khaki and Save Haven does create a more European fit in the shirts but the khakis, I found, are more slim than skinny...so it depends on what you buy there...when I filmed my podcast there they I got the sense they were a company still trying to find their way a bit as it pertains to customer service and online presence.

Ive quite a few shirts in XL that are slim fit etc as that is the style I prefer however I think if I attempted to button up these shirts then I think would have damaged them, I think I have tried on bigger L's then these XL.

The shirts was so soft and I loved the look of them, might see if he is considering bringing in another size up as I'm sure I'm not the only one who will have this problem for people who range between L and XL
