Purchase Advice - PO 45mm Casino Royale, the real one or the Ltd Ed?

Despite owning a Rolex Submariner & an Omega Seamaster Co-Axial I have always wanted the CR 45mm PO on rubber strap (I collect DC era clothes and accessories and wouldn't mind to use it as a "beater" to relieve my Sub on the odd occasion e.g. holidays)

Anyhow I hate the gimmicky 007 "collectors" watches, however this one is prob the best, Casino Royale logo hidden underneath and a subtle 007 logo for the second hand.

Debating whether to go for this one or the model its based on / used on screen by DC? Im attracted to both so I'm sort of thinking (AHEM / COUGH) that my last ever watch should have some secret 007 association

How obvious is the 007 second hand in real life??

Any opinions etc?

(Enter Bondtoys to say WTF am I buying a PO when I have a Sub :)) )

I say go for the collector... You see omegas, rolexes... The collector is unique. Besides, with a subtle gem like that I would feel even more empowered and motivated. Go for it if you have the means

now seriously if you are asking me: The Omega PO ltd. Editions are indeed very nice!

The PO is a very good watch without a doubt and with the CR Ltd. edition you get it without the hideous friction pin bracelet ;)

I have 2 brand new CR Pos in my collection - never worn and I like the modifications on the ltd. Ed. model.
I would not worry about the little 007 logo on the second hand. From a reasonable distance, nobody will really recognize it and it will make you realize the 007 connection everytime that you are looking at it.

But I'll get rid of 2 illusions:

    1. You will never wear it as often as your Sub
    2. Once you have started with the Ltd. Editions, you will try to get the other ltd. Eds as well ;)

My take on this is that the "007-ed up" Ltd Eds are for those who like collecting and keeping stuff in cabinets.

The real thing is for wearing.

Depends on one's attitude as an adult whether one wants to be seen out and about with something that has "James Bond" or "007" written on it. I don't. I think I'm too old for it.

    Well...I have both the CR and QoS LTD ED watches...and I wear them both...and the 007 on them isn't THAT noticeable when wearing them...and I reckon I'm about your age too -{

Hmm I don't think I would as I'm pretty film specific collecting wise, only considering this as its pretty much like the regular version,

Im with you on this, however the CR version is so subtle.......

Will have to sleep on this more, maybe its a bad idea and I would regret it further down the line

My Seamaster and PO are now in the cabinet, I now wear a fake Sub on a nylon strap :D

Im not to keen in showing my fanboy element by wearing anything with 007 on it, unless it is crew items.

That fake Sub is as fake as you are :D Muppet!

And I just wanted to use you as an example what can happen with the worn limited editions until a good watch comes up.

Why are you buying another diver's watch when you have both the Rolex and the Omega? Anyway, if you always wanted and actually like the Planet Ocean design I would say get that. Also, I don't get the "beater" term. I guess I don't wear a watch as jewelry. I'm wearing the watch unless I'm doing something I know has a high chance of damaging it like painting, riding a motorcycle, etc.
