Thought her acting was surprisingly good and although she looked better than I feared neither ladies ' did it' for me. Please, please, can we have some proper glamour next time.
I thought she looked terrible in the macau Casino.
But much better on the Boat.
Thought she managed to give a lot of life to the character, I
felt sad for her in the end.
I found Naomie Harris very attractive

I was really surprised as to just how good she was given her lack of many acting jobs prior, Sam Mendes definitely got a really good performance out of her.
I really loved her character and wish she played a bigger role in the film. I also have to confess, the character Eve was far more enjoyable than I thought she would be.

I think Berenice Marlohe was beautiful and competent in the role, and she played the sense of safety with Bond very believably. It was good chemistry. I also enjoyed her name and the nature of her character. She really would have been great if she was on screen more than the very short time she was involved.
I don't think Bond and Eve had good chemistry. They definitely worked better in their relationship at the end with some distance and more conversation.
She'll seems like she will fit in well in the next entries.
Certainly wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating cheese & onion crisps. She's a heck of a good looking woman it has to be said. Would definitely have liked to see her on screen for longer in SF, as she was very good indeed.

My most current reflection and feedback on Berenice Marlohe as Severine? I don't know if it's bad that her screen time was cut short, or if it was mercifully cut short lest we're force fed with another Bond girl of no substance. Vesper was the last, more than decently developed Bond heroine and IMO, the ones from the last 2 films barely measured up with the weakest of the Brozzer's leading ladies, just to provide comparisons from the recent past.

Kind of hard to have any substance when you have three scenes, the first a long shot standing in the window after the assassin fired a shot from the adjoining high rise and then was killed by Bond, the second in the bar in Shanghai where she was mesmerizing and lastly riding the boat to the island and then being killed. The bar scene in Shanghai is the best female performance in a very long time. IMO

Call me a pessimist, but I don't know if Berenice Marlohe could have better developed her character beyond the screen time she had, based on seeing the two Bond girls in QoS. I know that model-type actresses have been used as Bond girls and they've worked out somewhat (thinking of Lois Chiles, Maud Adams and Talisa Sotto), but with reality-show grittiness and stark candid expressions that's the norm nowadays, I think that acting depth for Bond actresses (thinking of Eva Green) has become more important with the days of Sylvia Trench's raised eyebrows in the very distant past.
Then again, a well-developed Bond girl (which should have included Eve Moneypenny) is a missed opportunity in SF since the conflicted and vulnerable female psyche was Sam Mendes' strong suit in some of his earlier movies.

I really liked her. She is a beauty and she did perform very well! I liked her in the casino scene. Well written and very well performed by DC and her. I also would like to see more of her ( yeah, ) ). It didn't feel wrong that she had very little screen time, sometimes it's good to 'lust for more'.
Berenice Marlohe was due to attend the official unveiling of the Skyfall train at King's Cross station in London but was instead caught up in a mid-air drama as her plane made an emergency landing as the cabin filled with fumes. Disappointed producers later learned her British Airways flight from Los Angeles to Heathrow had been diverted and forced to land in Las Vegas due to suspected toxic oil fumes. Passengers and crew were advised to wear oxygen masks as a precaution after some began to feel unwell. The three pilots and four cabin crew were taken to hospital for checks while several passengers were given treatment by paramedics at the airport.
An interview with Berenice Marlohe in which she answers questions (amongst others) regarding Severine, the audition process, working with Sam Mendes, being part of the 50th anniversary hysteria, and what her next project is.

As it stands, Severine is a very ambiguous character. There's no doubt she's a criminal and she's not adverse to being involved in a murder plot. It's hard to tell whether she's telling Bond the truth. For all we know it's a pack of lies and she's No. 2 in Silva's organization and she's looking for somebody to get rid of No. 1. And with No. 1 out of the way she'll get rid of Bond. It's obvious she's using Bond whether it's just to get out of the grip of Silva or something more, we don't know.
Berenice Marlohe has joined the cast of '5 to 7' alongside Glenn Close, Frank Langella, Lambert Wilson, Olivia Thirlby and previously announced Anton Yelchin. '5 to 7' is set in New York, where an aspiring novelist, Brian (Yelchin) has an extra marital affair with the beautiful wife of a French diplomat, Arielle (Marlohe). Cultures, world views, personal ethics and dietary preferences clash as love deepens, with remarkable results in this romantic comedy. The film is set to start shooting in New York this month.
Just watched Skyfall again last night and something puzzled me about Severine.
We know she was rescued from the sex trade but if you listen to the conversation between Bond and Moneypenny in Macau as Bond is about to sit down with Severine
Moneypenny - She's pretty
Bond - Now now
Moneypenny - if you like that sort of thing
My first thought was that Moneypenny was commenting on her being a call girl, but after the conversation between Bond and Silva on the abandoned island where Bond is tied to a chair.
Silva (while rubbing bonds legs) - there's a first time for everything, yes?
Bond - what makes you think it's my first time?
Was Moneypenny actually referring to Severine as a ladyboy? or am i reading too much into this?
) Yes I think you are.
I think Moneypenny's comment about " liking that sort of thing " was a joke
about how Bond always seems to go for beautiful women. But a great theory {[]
