I'm just guessing, but could it be because it would be ungodly expensive to try and bring every other actor back? They tried something similar with From Russia with Love a couple of years ago and there is a reason it was bad.
Well, they did get Connery for FRWL. But the reasons the game was bad were all down to design. They probably picked FRWL to get Connery but FRWL was not a good choice for a Bond game. If the company and producers understood videogames they could have come up with something truly special with Connery. It's an obvious idea too. I hinted about it here or in the other Bond game thread.
Yup - I have read that on a few occasions - to get the actors to agree and paid etc would cost a fortune!!
If they can't get the original actors they really shouldn't make the games. At least to me. It's kind of disingenuous saying that Craig's Bond goes on similar adventures as past Bond actors.
Well at least they did try to add elements from later Bond movies for the FRWL video game to spice it up a little like the jetpack from Thunderball for example, althought i dont remember it being able to shoot missles though lol.
I think they are proberbly indeed going for one movie of each actor seeing as how there are six levels...
So we already know the Craig, Lazenby and Moore one...
My predictions:
- Brosnan: Goldeneye is done a lot of times, I think they might go for TWINE here and pick the boat chase...
- Dalton: Although I would prefer to see LTK, I think they would go for a TLD level...
- Connery: Hard to say, I have a feeling it could be YOLT
When looking up this game on IMDB you can see that there are two voice actors credited as "Sanchez Soldier" and "Goldfinger Soldier"!
Although, this might not be reliable, it could mean that two other levels will be LTK and GF!
I would love to see a LTK level! - I might even get the game then...
In terms of the Brosnan film levels, well really any of them, it depends on how they arrange them in the game. So far they have released trailers in the order they will be seen in the game so Moonraker, OHMSS. Since the second is a snow/ice (keep in mind this is PURE speculation) level they could use one of the snow chases from the Brosnan films. There is one in all three films that could be used. It could be a mission to take out the terrorist arms bazaar, or protecting Elektra from the parahawks, the third option would be the car chase in Iceland.
Sure there are other things they could do. But I bet one of the chase scenes in one of these three films will be used. Brosnan's movies had some of the better chase scenes. There is the motorcycle chase in Tomorrow Never Dies, the boat chase from World (this is the one I hope) and there are two in Die Another Day, one in the opening teaser on the hovercrafts and then again on the ice in Iceland.

They wanted to have their cake and eat it too. Stuff like that was really bad for me. The worst was the final base level. That was a big example of the designers not being Bond fans. If they were going to do a base level they needed the person over the intercom talking, counting down, etc. The whole game was an example of not getting what FRWL was about.
I read on the 007 legends facebook page that they were going to anounce the next two mission next week.. Lets see if they really turn out to be Goldfinger and License to Kill!
What missions have been announced so far? Skyfall, Moonraker, OHMSS... any others or just those 3 as of yet?
Yes only those three. However on IMDB, there are voice actors credited for both Goldfinger soldier and Sanchez Soldier. Of course IMDB isn't a garantee, but they can be very accurate at times... And if 6 missions means 6 movies from all 6 actors, the possibility of GF and LTK is still open... so who knows!
Activision have announced the pre-order bonuses for gamers who reserve a copy of their upcoming game 007 Legends. Fans who pre-order the game from Amazon will receive the Nemesis Pack while those who go to GameStop will get the 007 Pack.
The Nemesis Pack includes two additional playable characters, Jaws and Baron Samedi, and will be usable in the Legends and multiplayer split-screen modes. The 007 Pack includes an exclusive James Bond character outfit as well as the Walther PPK pistol.

Since it has had a very recent game made from it, I seriously don't think GoldenEye will be used.
I think one of the chase scenes from one of his other three films will be used. If so, I want either the motorcycle chase from Tomorrow Never Dies, the boat chase from The World is Not Enough or the hovercraft chase from Die Another Day, and possibly the ice chase from the same movie.

I was looking on the website a minute ago, and there's a caption on one of the pages saying "6 missions, 8 infamous villains" or something along those lines. The way I see it, the '8 infamous villains' strongly implies that 2 of the missions will each feature a particularly well-known henchman, since 6 of those 8 will be the main antagonists. The most infamous henchmen are undoubtedly Oddjob, Baron Samedi, and Jaws, and since we already know that Jaws will be in the Moonraker segment of the game, I think it's safe to say that either Goldfinger or Live and Let Die will be featured. Since Baron Samedi has been confirmed as a multiplayer character, and since Goldfinger has already received a fair amount of video game coverage, I'm banking on - and hoping for - Live and Let Die.
Two new missions have just been confirmed! They are License to Kill (!) and Die Another Day!
So the IMDB rumor about License to Kill was true, so that could proberbly mean that the Goldfinger one is true as well, and since only 1 more mission is yet to be revealed now, and it is a Connery movie, I bet it's indeed Goldfinger!
I'm banking on - and hoping for - Live and Let Die.
The Roger Moore movie has already been revealed, Baron Samedi is indeed a multiplayer character that you can get by pre-ordering or something, but Live and Let Die isn't going to be a mission in the game ..
Looks quite good. I'm kind of surprised to see Die Another Day used but at the same time, I'm not because Brosnan's other three have been made into games...of varying successes. I think I'm more surprised that I guessed partially right in which scene the would use from it, the ice chase.
I don't think this is going to be as short as some people are thinking. This is completely a guess. But that is a pretty big section of Die Another Day to go from the ice palace to the plane. Same thing in the License to Kill section that goes from the labs to the tanker chase. I wonder if there will be driving in this or if it will do on it's own?

Nice trailer. Shocked about DAD (with it being a not-so-popular film), but it might work well on a computer game.
Just a thought: It said "2 more missions to reveal". Is one of these skyfall? Or do you think there are 2 missions as well as skyfall (so 7 missions total)? Because hasn't the skyfall mission already been "revealed"?

Sweet! I was hoping to see at least one of Dalton's (probably would have preferred The Living Daylights, but I suppose Licence to Kill would be better as a video game level), and Die Another Day should be good fun.
Correct me if I'm wrong, though, but isn't the game supposed to feature six missions when it's released, and THEN Skyfall will be released as DLC to coincide with the release of the film? It would seem odd if the new trailer, which claims that there are still two more missions to be revealed, was referring to Skyfall as one of them, because the developers stated as soon as the game was announced that one of the missions would be based on the new film.
And as much as I love Goldfinger, I'd much rather see a different Connery film in there, like Thunderball or You Only Live Twice. Whether or not they use YOLT will depend on how much they want to use Blofeld, but I also reckon the developers might hesitate from using Goldfinger because both that film and Die Another Day feature finales on a crashing plane, and I'd imagine they'll want as much variation as possible in the settings. We've got On Her Majesty's Secret Service's bobsled (although it looks like they might be going for a cable car in the game), Moonraker's space station, Licence to Kill's car chase and Die Another Day's plane. The best options remaining would be along the lines of Dr. No or A View to a Kill, in my opinion.

Same thing in the License to Kill section that goes from the labs to the tanker chase. I wonder if there will be driving in this or if it will do on it's own?
It's worth noting that Activison originally stated that GoldenEye would feature six missions, which confused a lot of people, but it then turned out that they LITERALLY meant six missions, each one divided into several levels. So I reckon Legends will do the same thing, because like you said, going from the ice palace to the plane in Die Another Day would be a REALLY long level.
There are going to be five missions. (One from every previous actor) and the sixth mission is already revealed to be Skyfall, and that is going to be DLC. (Proberbly available after Skyfall is released in theatre's.)
I am pretty sure the Connery mission will be Goldfinger. Lately there have been several hints that License to Kill and Goldfinger were in it. (like the IMDB page stating actors for Goldfinger soldiers and Sanchez Soldiers.) Now, IMDB seem to have quickly deleted those soldiers. Further more on the facebook page of 007 legends, they gave away some tips like: "The next one won't have Blofeld in it" and "It isn't going to be Thunderball." (Although those tips were actually before the trailer of LTK and DAD, but the again, I really do feel it's highly likely now that the final mission that has to be revealed is going to be Goldfinger!
I'm quite satisfied with the mission list actually!
Also on the sidenote, in the trailer it really seemed like Gustav Graves was voiced by Toby Stephens himself, what do you guys think?
I'm chuffed with the roster as well at the moment, especially Licence to Kill - it's surprising that it hasn't received any form of video game interpretation already in my opinion, given how action-packed it is, so I reckon that'll be one of the game's best sections. And I'd imagine Toby Stephens will be voicing Graves himself, since it's already been confirmed that Michael Lonsdale, Lois Chiles and Diana Rigg will be reprising their roles from Moonraker and On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
If im not mistaken, this marks the first time Blofeld appears in a 007 video game. (the OHMSS missions)
Technically, he has been featured in two games already; he was featured in the ending cutscene of GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, since the developers were originally planning a sequel before it came about that the game was bloody awful, and he was a multiplayer character in the new GoldenEye.
But yes, it will be the first time he's featured properly in a Bond game (perhaps excluding games prior to the N64, dunno about those) where he will actually appear in gameplay in the single player.

Slightly off topic by Licence to Kill did a video game adaptation back when Domark was making James Bond video games.
The new footage looks good, and I am very pleased that the Walther PPK is going to be in the game.* I think that I just might have rent a copy of this and play it on my friend's XBOX 360.
*It is part of the exlcusive DLC pack Gamestop is offering along with the James Bond multiplayer skin.
Thinking about it, wouldn't Dr. No be absolutely perfect as the game's final mission? The whole point of the game is to celebrate the franchise's 50th anniversary, so it would almost seem criminal not to feature the original film.

Thats a good idea, end the game where it all began. Id love to see what kind of Craig design Dr.No would have in the game, or if they would keep Joe Wiseman's likeness in the game.
I'm assuming the two missions left to reveal are SkyFall and a Connery mission. We haven't seen anything actually from the SkyFall mission, which is why it may be considered unrevealed.
