Whats the big secret about knowing who makes this. unlikely any of us will be able to track one down after all this time anyways?
I think it has something to do with the hours of research that has gone in to it CJ, parp, if everyone knew what it was it would make it that much harder to find -{
I think if it was to do with honour Andy would give his first one to the person that told him what it was
Pete, I fully concur with what you have said about honour and thereby award this hard to find gem to ......... myself ) Sorry Pete it was me that tracked it down and I shared the information with one other person who in turn reciprocated with some other info and hence the pact of honour between two collectors.

Just to show that I don't keep everything to myself coupled with the fact that I have already sourced one for my collecting friend and it already resides in his collection I give to you the AVTAK PTS Tracking device.

Haven't you sorted out any cabinets yet Andy? you must have a stunning collection from what small part you have shown over the years, I would love to see it all out on display, its not a case of knowing what you have or don't have, for me it is like visiting a museum, its all in the display, I could do with some inspiration o be honest -{
What I need Pete is for someone to remember who made their bespoke cabinets and put my in touch, I would have gone Detolf but, having looked at them they are just dust traps I think we all suffer from the same problems, not enough room, prohibitivley expensive commercial cabinets and probably the largest hurdle ....... "You're not putting that in MY lounge" "It's just more clutter" & the classic "It doesn't go with the room!"
Yeah, yeah I know ...... grow a pair ...... but I like living at the moment

seriously, I'm starting to think you've bugged my gaff
All I remember is they make cabinets for John Lewis, they were based in Nottingham and I found them on the Bay but I bought them privately, now it is a distant memory and no bloody records of who they are
Lucky for me we don't use the what you would call the living room, that is the only reason Im aloud to have my stuff on display nothing to do with growing a pair, if they are against it your fooked
Thanks for the AVTAK prop description but i couldn't give a monkeys of this as for me one of the worst bond films. Andy i already know the letter 'PYSL' reside on the monocular/range finder. As having it on hd helps with these little matters. I want to know simply because Goldeneye is the one bond film for props i'm concentrating on the heaviest, and to one day get all the desirable props would be mission complete and maybe achieving 00 status lol

And unfortunately that is another reason why I am reluctant to give out information as it is not appreciated, the AVTAK prop was another gem that had eluded people for a long time and the first reply I get over it is not "Thanks very much I'll file that away for future reference" it's "I couldn't give a monkeys" I clearly stated the reason why I could not give the info out at this time, just accept it, you're not getting the info. I'm sorry if this comes across as harsh but my back is now well and truly up. X-(
Andy i'm not saying i don't appreciate the info of course i will keep it for future reference only its not the info i was hoping for. I will leave it there now apologies for any annoyance.
CJ, I know it can be massively frustrating when searching for something. The GE camera is something I too long for, and I too don't know the full details about it. Sod HD, you can find out about the lettering on dave's site, a google search brings that up.
For me, it's all part of the challenge of collecting stuff, not just knowing what was used and where it's from, but also finding it out. Sometimes it's up to ourselves to sort it out, sometimes fellow members are willing to share little nuggets of info, ya know, like the bits if help I've been giving you with the door decoder.
Don't go and shoot yourself in the arse by ranting off at people, be grateful that Andy has shown us the GE camera prop, it's the first time many of us have seen it other than on film.

Nothing. Ebay, gumtree, google images, I've used different search terms, specific terms, and found nothing even remotely resembling this thing.
You're more likely to find one of connery's rugs for sale.
And no ones suggestions are right so far, I know cos I've searched using those brands myself and they didnt find a thing.
