I've watched it with the sound down, agree with most of the comments both pro and against.
Hmm... Skyfall? Why not just call it Treadmill?
The cocky, vibrant, Drogba scoring in the 87 minute James Bond theme doesn't really belong in this kind of film.
On the other hand, while one critic called MI 4 the best Bond film never made, I wouldn't personally go for that approach these days either, it's quite shallow.
Can't see where the laughs are coming from in this film but it's like life... laugh and the world laughs with you.
Well more than decent teaser IMO. How many times have we seen movie teasers and full trailers that are terrific only to find out when we actually see the whole film that anything worth seeing was in the trailer and the film is a big disapointment. I don't believe that will be the case with "Skyfall".
Because of the internet and how we can literally follow a Bond film these days from pre-production to final product causes something like a teaser trailer to loose a bit of magic, impact, and excitement. Back in the good old days, even though you might know a new Bond film was coming when you sat in that dark theater and the previews began to roll a Bond teaser would still catch you by surprise and really get the juices flowing
Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed how much better Craig looks in actual footage (even with the stubble) than in the unofficial photos?
The thing about DC is he is so variable in appearance. Sometimes great, sometimes not so much. Still think he looks better with slightly longer hair, not first press conf long, but a bit more than at the moment.
It certainly worked for me. I like the fact that the character seems to have been stripped back & we will see Bond going through Psychological / Physical assessments, as it might offer a broader understanding of what truly 'makes' the man. Also no arguments from me that there appears to be a distinct lack of cheesy guff going on.
Is there a general timeline for future teasers / full blown trailers?
It may be to a somewhat lesser degree but "Teaser Trailers" engender the same problems as do still photos and that is context. Teasers and full trailers are put together and edited by specialists in that field. We can't even be sure if the questions and answers match; why is Bond being interviewed by what appears to be a shrink? Is he back from being long undercover
and off the grid? Will all those shots even make it into the final cut? We will know everything come November
Back in the Brosnan days a good "OO" agent after a long stint in the Evil Empire Gulag could be back up on his feet with a little IV, good shave/haircut, and a new suit of clothes )

I heard somewhere that the full trailer will be three months before launch, which would be sometime in August.

This is very true. Teasers aren't really meant to tell a lot about the plot or show interesting character moments. This teaser was clearly meant to show off the visual style of the film and to get the general public excited/aware that there is a bond movie coming. So far with everything we've seen and heard, I have no reason to doubt Mendes or Craig that Skyfall takes a lot of inspiration from some of the older films and that there will be "classic" bond elements. There's just no way to show both the heavier and lighter sides of a film in one minute without having a really bad and disjointed trailer. For this they chose the stylish action teaser, which as far as getting people excited for a movie, is the right way to go. In the end I could be wrong, but I have faith that most Bond fans will be satisfied.

I will give you a spoiler. James Bond's family estate explodes. If you look quickly, you will see a few frames of James Bond running in a tunnel with fire. You will also see the villain Raoul Silva escaping from the explosion of the estate on fire. There is like a garage or a barn nearby (it was built on location). Perhaps that is where Bond is running to underneath. Just my guess. There is also a family cemetery (also built on location). Would that be cool for James Bond to be running in a tunnel underneath a cemetery?
Whilst I enjoyed the teaser, and this will only make sense if you live in the UK and have a soap obsessed missus. Did anyone else have a Coronation Street moment when the train crashed?

Dude, I have a feeling that he was asking if there were spoilers so he could AVOID them, not have them spelled out! You might want to edit that out...
I had a second thought. I don't really know where the tunnel is. Maybe it has to do with the train in London Underground crashing. I was guessing it may be under the estate. I'm only guessing.

It's amazing what you miss when you watch it at normal speed so many times. With your slowed down version, I saw James Bond being strangled underwater and the giant jellyfish James Bond was looking at.

yep I loved the trailer too, and I did have a Coronation street moment, but only when I saw Norris Cole asking the questions!!! (for those who don't know who Norris Cole is, worth a google!).

Do you think Bond is being held by his own side when answering the questions? And is after "SkyFall" so the film will be a flashback. Looks like the clothes he's wearing are some sort of uniform?
Alright: No SKYFALL trailer, at least not in Australia, attached to MIB3. Instead we got a 6 minute Amazing Spiderman preview. Dang! Although I saw the 3D MIB3 so maybe on the 2D version there may be a SF trailer...

Yes I had that thought too, that either the whole film is in flashback or that scene is at the end of the movie. 'Skyfall?', 'Done'.
With " Done " I feel Gordon Ramsay has helped with the script, DC just left out the hand chop. )
This might be a modern Shrublands. Now with cut backs it's in an old sewer, As for the "Trackie"
it's what Bond now wears slobbing around the flat, mabey popping down to TESCO in his Jammies. )
He is a modern Man after all.

If the word association scene is at the end of SKYFALL, then that means "M" (Judi Dench) is still alive and all those silly rumors of "M" dying were rubbish.

It would mean that M is still alive yes - also at some point Bond is not clean shaven so is that at the start or at the end?? If its a lighter film as DC has said you'd have thought that the ending would be fairly ok and positive?
I think the questioning scenes will be close to the begining of the movie. Leading to M having to
send Bond out to fix whatever Mess she's got herself into.
My question about the scene is. Do they still do word association games. I thought like the
Rorschach Test, it was discredited and not used these days.

I think the interrogation scene is some time after the PTS in the first half of the film. Bond suffers a traumatic event early in the film, to the extent that he cannot function properly. He is interrogated then sent home to recuperate, hence scene of him jogging in the park. MI6 is attacked while Bond is recuperating. Alternate version, Bond suffers trauma and is missing presumed dead. MI6 is attacked, Bond is found, brought back, interrogated, then recuperates.
