Just came across this guys, might be of interest for those of us who'd like a GF Rolex style watch but can't afford the expensive price tag.

Not familiar with Christopher Ward...can you enlighten me? At GBP350, it's not a 'cheap' knock-off!
i've not got any of their watches yet, but maybe one day.
and as for 'cheap knock off' thats not what i was really getting at, more so an alternative that might be more affordble to some than the real deal rolex would be. if you weight a few grand against a few hundred you might some difference in there.
on another side of things, i'm not saying 'heres a rolex copy', im saying 'here's a watch made in the style of the GF rolex.
its not a rolex, isn't marketted as a rolex and will not be anything like the quality of a rolex. but for a 10th of the cost, i'd say it was a fairly good deal.

markus just lurrrves anything that looks remotely like a rolex.
like i said, i aint saying its as good as, just saying its quite a nice looking watch imo.
i've heard if you mention casio's and seiko's as aqua terra alternatives, steam comes out his arse. )

Don't know this particular maker but if someone buys this watch, it'll simply set back the buyer with GBP 350,- from the real deal.
I've told MG this already, but he's obviously desperate wasting his cash on these Submariner lookalikes.
My advise is to go with the Seiko mechanical diver. It's cheaper than the shown watch And has some unique tech and design features and is proven since over 25 yrs.
And sooner or later get the real deal.

Hi Guys, I am new to the forums, but I have 4 of the Christopher Ward watches in my collection, all from the C70 Grand Prix range.
I can confirm that the build quality of them is excellent, the ones I have are all limited editions and they come well boxed and nicely presented. The detail on the watches are stunning and make for a great future investment in my opinion.
Hope this info helps.
All The Best,
Darren
Please- I accept your passion for the watches and the brand but that last sentence can only be a joke!
If you disagree, please tell me any brand ( with the exception of certain Rolex and most of the old Patek watches) which turned out having been great investments.
And if you do( I doubt you can), then get down to a price level of 1/10 of an average used car and try again.

i personally hardly buy ANYTHING with an investment view in mind. I buy stuff because I LIKE IT, not because someone says I can flog it in a few years time for a couple of extra quid.
like i've said before, rolex is rolex, CW is CW.
i don't think CW is trying to jump on the rolex band wagon, and even if they are, they certainly won't be the first, or last to do so.
the whole idea of the CW watch, for me, is something that looks nice and is well made. the slight hint at a rolex type design is considered a bonus imo.

You have no idea, what I really wanted to say :v
Seriously: The future investment part with CW was crap. Besides of this welcome to the forum Darren and if you have any watch question, ask Dell Deaton and then me

MG, your emails seems to be off. I have sent you several emails, never received a reply....

Hi Again,
No I take your point, Bondtoys, what I meant by the investment part was its probably going to be worth something in the future as there are collectors in the UK of the CW watches so they should always get a buyer, I didn't mean that the CW watches are going to be a fantastic return on what you paid for them, so I take your point.
As Minigeff said they do look good and in my opinion they are well made, but they certainly aint no Rolex !!!
Thank's for your welcome to the furum, there are certainly some good conversations going on, on here.
Best Wishes,
Darren
