I've been avoiding the usual sites for Bond/Skyfall news but I was wondering if any Bond fans here knew of any other sites that just post information on upcoming Bond anniversary items. I was hoping that people would start small threads here.
I stumbled across a Robert McGinnis Roger Moore print a few nights ago. It's expensive and reminds me of a complete illustration he did a while back. Which was also expensive. I hope he does something else for the anniversary. We should be seeing the Skyfall teaser and a poster soon.

Here is another anniversary print by Max Dalton. It's fun but not really my thing.
David O'Daniel/Alien Corset is working on some Bond prints. He previewed Dr. No, Thunderball, and Live and Let Die.
Anything else you guys/girls have seen? Besides those Omega editions of course. I'm really interested in artwork. Perhaps some models or props. Thanks.

Anyway, I won't be checking any Bond sites until Skyfall is released. I'll only check the memorabilia, collecting, clothing section and the general Bond chat sections on AJB007 from time to time. If you guys/girls find anything cool post it so I can check it out. Thanks.
There is also the 50th Anniversary Blu-Ray 22 film collection.
I have a feeling that every Bond fan on this forum is picking up this collection. It should be perfect until whatever next home media format comes out. I just hope they check those unreleased titles. We don't need more situations like the Thunderball blood in Largo's pool removal.
I really enjoyed the Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace books featuring his photographs from behind the scenes.
Yup, already availabe as pre-order on Amazon.
All down to personal taste really.
It's not a 'the making of...' book, but a collection of images taken during filming. It offers an insight into how stuff is done, but doesn't give too much away. I find these kind of things are nice to look at, but I don't see them as solid gold research material as they seldom give much away, ie no straight on shots of props with a rule in shot )
A good addition for any bond fan though, I've already pre ordered mine, along with RM's bond on bond.
On set of skyfall is due out November, bond on bond hits the shelves in October.

I'm getting Moore's book. I think he's a lot cooler than most. I still have an old Bond special with Roger Moore that aired before the release of The Living Daylights. Moore is talking about what it takes to be Bond and stuff. It's still fun.
I noticed that Amazon has a "limited" 50 years of Bond posters book with their Bond anniversary Blu-ray set pre-order. The book isn't complete according to the image on their site. But it should be a nice bonus.
My email address is westy2000836@hotmail.com if sum one could help me I'd be grateful
Not trying to tell you how to suck eggs, but I'd suggest you start your own thread and state what kind of help you require.
People might not take too kindly to their thread being gatecrashed with a rather expansive request.
Welcome on board.

I tend not to get figures anymore. But the Hot Toys likeness for characters is extremely realistic. I believe Sideshow Toys had some Bond figures a long time ago.
There is a diver girl statue by Gentle Giant that resembles Honey Rider. I believe she's called Whisper and her design comes from a lot of Bond girls. The octopus tattoo is a bit extreme but that could be inspired by Octopussy. If anything the statue makes me think that a line of the more adventurous Bond girls might be good.
Anyone pick up the Posters book yet? Put up pictures or descriptions of the bonus prints.
I just saw that book on Amazon as well. If it's like the Stanley Kubrick Archives book than it should be great. Book weighs 16lbs and it should come in a box with a carry handle like the Stanley Kubrick book. I noticed it comes with a film strip from Dr. No, the Kubrick book came with a film strip cut from Kubrick's personal print of 2001! Here's the link to the Bond book if anyone's interested:

I have a feeling that I will be getting one of the rarer Bond Archives "Art Editions." I guess Taschen will put up more info soon. I hope the Art Editions version comes with a film strip too. So many options for good scenes.
Also, someone on youtube did a video with the new Bond Posters book:

Sadly the book doesn't have the final Skyfall poster in it. The prints are Octopussy and a foreign Dr. No. There is a final shot comparing it to the other Bond Posters book I own. This new book comes in a slipcase and is a definite pickup at the current price.

I pre-ordered. The most I've ever spent on a book was $80 for a Rolls-Royce and Bentley book in the late 90's. And it was well worth it.
I also received the poster book a few days ago and it is superb. I would imagine it's the definitive guide to Bond movie posters as it continues quite a number of proposals that were never used as well as international ones that were. The slipcase is a very nice touch.
Although I really like the book as well, there aren't any brand posters (Omega, Sunseeker etc.) to be seen. Missed opportunity cause that would've made it even more interesting.
