That's exactly the sort of poster I would like to see. Dramatic, appealing and modern yet pays homage to the Bond films that came earlier. Only one question...is that a Harrier flying over the bridge? Bit of a strange choice if it is unless the artist knows something I don't know.

Im guessing thats just chucked in with his imagination!
Man - that style of poster would indeed be welcome!
To be honest though, its not just 007 is it? Posters nowadays are meh!
Most are all monochrome, bland background with no Imagination. Sadly the days of Talented
and skilled artists are over. Today them seem almost an after thought.

That fan art poster is not new. I was aware of it months ago, before any of the trailers were released, so it is a case of imagination.

It is really some kind of funny to see that a lot of the fan art is actually better then the official stuff....

Precisely, welshboy78. There's no passion for the creation of posters these days & you're right, they are churned out on a conveyor belt. Not unlike film trailers, which also have a samey look, whatever the subject matter.

I have this funny feeling that straightening the cuff is going to be Craig's version of the 'tie-straightening' of Bonds past. I rather like it :007)

I didn't even catch that he was going for the cuff instead of the gun. The pout is in full effect, as well. He's going all out on a dapper entrance, I suppose.
SilentSpy, I long ago gave up hoping an illustrated poster. I would still hope though, that we might get what you referred to as "a good compilation poster". It's a pity that this iconic element of Bond lore is being short-changed in the modern era, especially with the 50th anniversary. You would think that this might inspire some nostalgia (or even just creativity!) in the marketing campaign.
You would think the anniversary would bring something special. I thought that the golden girl poster with all the titles was a sign. But I guess not. Yet, anything is possible. Especially since the producers actually take reports on what to do and what the audience wants. But since they are anti-risk, at this point I'm 100% sure they won't try McGinnis, an unknown or Mondo artist for their main one sheet. That's just not their way of thinking and risky. If they were going to do an illustrated poster it probably would have been a teaser. Mondo did posters for Avengers and the recent Looper with the full support of the people involved but even those weren't main theatrical posters. Just side deals. I did read/hear that Daniel Craig worked (approved) the Casino Royale posters so maybe he doesn't like the old style.
Right now that fan poster is better than all the official posters.
Anyone else seen that poster in today's Metro newspaper? It's official, has Bond tied in with Britain tourist advertising campaign, has Craig in front of a Union Jack, plus DB5 Aston Martin to the right. Best poster so far imo, great stuff. Something like Bond/Britain is Best as a tagline.
On my way into work this morning I passed THREE SKYFALL promotional posters!
These must have been done at the weekend as they were not there on Friday.
1. Just past Earl's Court.
2. Holland Park Roundabout.
3. Westway approach near Westfield.
All looking fab of course. I can't wait for the posters to be put at Vauxhall bus station.
Both CR and QoS looked fab here, near the MI6 building!

Am new to the forum and was hoping somebody might be of help to me.
I am looking for the Skyfall poster where Bond is on his back and about to fire his PPK (http://www.impawards.com/2012/skyfall_ver7.html).
Does anyone know where I can get this from, preferably an original double-sided one?
Thanks.
here is a double-sided one:
