So - what are the actual chances of a new, official poster coming out two weeks prior to the release? With a bit of bad luck the Craig in tux one is the final design...

I would say slim and none. You would think everything is agreed upon now and the final one sheet poster would be on the streets. Especially since early reviews are starting to come out and the premier is next week I believe.

...and the existing posters seem to have sprung up everywhere over the weekend.

The lack of a really good poster seems to be one of the few slip-ups the Bond team have made on SKYFALL. That said, I wasn't too keen on the final posters for the last two films either. Brosnan's batch were uniformally better crafted.

The "Bond on his back" poster now has pride of place at Vauxhall!

To be fair, the existing posters are doing the job and for once they show Craig's Bond in his tux, which is a first if I'm not mistaken. Also, as there's been a fair wait, all you need is Bond himself to make the point that he's back. I think Craig would be a bit overwhelmed by the traditional busy nature of the Bond poster, though a Dr No, FRWL or GF style look would work very well for him.

A new official IMAX poster that will be given away free to all US fans attending the opening night IMAX midnight screenings of Skyfall.

Funny how in black and white Craig's hair looks darker and he seems even more Bondian. That pose is good for him, too, showing off not only the nice lines of the suit but making his nose, probably his worst facial feature, seem smaller and more refined.

Wonder if it's for sale in the lobby. Has the look and feel of that old Aston Martin ad tie in with Thunderball with the orange border, taken from the pts.

That IMAX poster is ok. Not as classic as the Connery and DB5 photo. Or Brosnan's photo with the Z8 for that matter.

Since the UK premier passed without a new poster I guess that's it. All we can hope for now is for Mondo to do a series one day. Their creative guy mentioned Bond and Skyfall in a few interviews so hopefully he's trying to get the contract to do some Bond posters.

Skyfall is basically out, getting strong reviews, and on the verge of being a financial success. I can't wait to see it. Glancing at a few reviews, the people who hated Quantum of Solace like Dark Horizons and 007 Magazine, like Skyfall. However like I assumed originally, it looks like the producers have a hit on their hands without releasing a strong poster. They didn't risk at all on the poster campaign when they could have released an illustrated poster for the teaser or something. This only proves to them that they don't need a strong poster campaign or that what they released (for the 50th anniversary no less) is good enough. Kind of sad as I prefer the Quantum of Solace final poster to all the Skyfall posters. At least Quantum's poster recalls the scene with Bond and Agent XXX.

Dear James Bond fans from all over the world. I have most of the SKYFALL posters, but there's one I miss really much in my collection - It's the most beautiful and old-school IMAX midnight poster. Unfortunately, I'm from Czech republic and we don't have these exclusive posters available here, so I have a prayer, If someone can make an hi-res upload of that poster, so I can download it and print it on A3 paper? :) Thank you very much.

As of right now, this is the Blu-Ray cover for the US release of SkyFall. Using one of the earlier posters, rather than the final poster.

I'm not a fan of that being a DVD cover myself. It's just a shot of bond, with no scenery/location from the film. All the bond DVD covers usually have a location from said film, and I'd rather this stay the case. IMO I would have preferred this one as the cover: http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?um=1&hl=en&tbo=d&biw=1366&bih=667&tbm=isch&tbnid=seomise8Gc5IEM:&imgrefurl=http://www.behindthehype.com/movie-reviews/drama-review/skyfalling/&docid=NR7ONt9Y5WjAGM&imgurl=http://www.behindthehype.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/skyfall-6501.jpg&w=650&h=400&ei=gvq7UMfcHOeH0AX7iICoAw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=807&vpy=273&dur=12664&hovh=176&hovw=286&tx=141&ty=89&sig=112197472545856720585&page=1&tbnh=129&tbnw=249&start=0&ndsp=26&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:0,i:111
