...Have exploited during the pre-production and subsequent filming of Quantum of Solace, amidst the writer's strike? What I mean by that is, was there any way that Barbara and Michael could have hired an knowledgable writer, who's also a first or second time director, and had that person co-direct with Marc Forster. I mean if there was an experienced writer on set, who was fairly new to the directing role then Marc Forster could have showed that person the ropes, and helped that person gain a new level of confidence.
And to top it all off, if Barbara and Michael could have possibly exploited the feasible loophole of maybe hiring an actress who's also an experienced writer, too, then that would have helped, as well. If you had not one but two writers working on Quantum of Solace who had other roles to play besides just writing, then maybe just maybe it would have made Quantum, a better overall film than what the actual finished product was.
