Check out the press release for the ltd edition Skyfall PO. Also shows a pic of Bond on motorbike wearing a PO (Turkey?)
Looks like both AT and PO watches appear in Skyfall as expected

Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Not sure what happened there, I blame these stupid iPads
I'm sure it won't be in any way an obvious product placement shot
Pre-title(s) sequence
Jeez... that my first post here? Holy lurker-fanboy, Batman. I suppose all the preceding dialogues were only in my head. )

Is it confirmed that the Aqua Terra is the 38.5mm version or the larger version?
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
Thanks, Markus!
Bond damaging the watch would be a lot better than the idea of Bond bringing multiple watches with him. Which is what I inferred in Casino Royale. I didn't watch Quantum of Solace enough to notice different watch models. I still like the Connery single watch days of Goldfinger and Thunderball. Brosnan had a good streak too although the first version was a quartz. I wonder if Brosnan actually wore an automatic in Goldeneye and they just used the quartz for the hero shot. Brosnan doesn't seem the type to wear a quartz watch.
Confirms the Aqua Terra model
Apparently the AT is unofficial watch, and the OP is the official.
Check it out..

Version Steel on steel
Reference 232.30.42.21.01.001
Size 42 mm
But Omega, even in the previous post plugs the wrong planet ocean, Bond does not wear a special edition in the traditional sense, in that his is a one off Ti piece as opposed to the stainless steel version which is significantly heavier than his Ti version, which is meant to look like a standard steel version of a 42mm PO.
It's annoying that they keep showing the wrong watch and keep calling it the Bond watch, especially since Omega does not make a 42 mm Ti PO like what we see in the movie for the PTS for a mass consumer market.
Time went past and yet another Bond film comes out, which reminded me how much I really want to get this watch... anyway, now its valued between £3,300 and £4,000... how come its gone up so much?! I know its been 4 years... but still!
Is this because Skyfall is out and prices will come down in 6 months?
Just sounds like mad that the prices have gone up by 100% in 4 years.
Thanks
Thanks Stefan.
Should have bought it 4 years ago when i was about to.
So being in-house now, are they better quality?
The difference is that the 8500 is exclusive to Omega and it's more haute-horlogerie in many parts - but gives Omega the chance to double the price for the corresponding watches as you can't find the same base movement in other cheaper watches.
Rolex went up 100% in the last couple of years and Omega did the same so did most of the other competitors.
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
1. It may be a simple description error in the Christie's auction and the SF watch is the standard steel watch
2. I won't be surprised if Omega came up with a Ti version of the PO in the very near future.
That DC wears a PO version in SF which is not part of the regular Omega product line does not make much sense to me.

Hahaha well I guess that's why they went with the AT to pay homage to Ian Flemings Oyster perpetual. They look similar. The AT is actually growing on me....
Dalton - the weak and weepy Bond!
The AT is pretty thick for its size so it sits on the wrist and wears big, like so...
