Viral Gastroenteritis
Starting over a fecking fortnight ago, I unwittingly contracted this marvellous medical concoction of dire inability to retain.... how can I put this? 'structural integrity of the nether regions'.
First the shakes, slight fever, heartburn, stomach pains and cramps and then an onslaught of bodily functions that were worrying to say the least and goddam baffling at worst. When you've emptied a cup, how can you possibly obtain anything more from it? Gastroenteritis seems to have answered this physics law bending conundrum simply by ruining the living **** (quite literally) out of me and forcing me into the once considered long abandoned tactic of communicating with the sweet sonny Jesus via the large porcelain telephone 'dans le en suite'.
It's not the fact that I've been put firmly on my arse for a few days, or that my body has been forced to perform actions it never hoped were possible, nor the fact that I've been swilling that god awful electrolyte revitalising drink stuff, but the thing that confuses the hell out of me is what the point of this is.
Seriously, what the fook is getting that ill for? Is it some form of evolution, some strange medical initiation ceremony or some means of nature culling off the plebs?
I just don't get it, what is the point of being this ill with no indication of what the point is.
Oh and to top it off the wife n babby have got it now n all.
This is terrible after finding out how the Police lied over the "Pleb gate" case, I'm now in
the very odd position of feel sorry for a Conservative politican. I never thought I'd

I agree with you Number 24. This is some of the most disgraceful and irresponsible politicking I have ever seen anywhere in the world. The American people know exactly who it is that's holding their country - and the entire world - hostage and hopefully will make every single one of them pay at the next election. Regardless of whether you are Republican or Democrat, whether you love Obama, hate Obamacare, hate Obama or love Obamacare, this gamesmanship by a cabal of Republicans is absolutely reprehensible.

Actually, this shutdown has been in the works for some time, and has less to do with "Obamacare" and more to do with a privately funded hostile takeover of my government. The goal is to frame & impeach Obama but lesser goals of economic & societal destabilization would be entirely acceptable to them as well. The idea, it seems, is to make the American people crave order & stability, something the FAR right in this country will offer them. And before you say it, yeah, we saw that in Germany less than a century ago.

I think that's the definition of politics, isn't it? To use a football analogy...Qatar was awarded the 2022 World Cup after emphatically assuring FIFA that the stifling desert heat of summer wouldn't be a problem: they'd build outdoor air-conditioned stadia etc etc. Half-an-hour later the same people who emphatically voted for Qatar and emphatically agreed that the heat wasn't an obstacle realised that Qatar 2022 would take place in the stifling desert heat of summer. How did they suddenly realise this? Instead of saying "Actually, maybe we were wrong and Qatar shouldn't have got it," they say "Let's move it to winter" even though that seriously messes up half the football leagues in the world. This is exactly the sort of rubbish that politicians live by. Make a promise...break it a few months later and blame the previous government claiming that they didn't know the real situation. I blame the Norwegians. :v

While politicians sometimes show an enviable lack of shame, I feel many who critisize them simply don't understand how a democracy works. If a politician says one thing before being elected and that doesn't happen, people call them liars. What people don't understand is that we don't elect dictators. Politics is about compromise and bargaining. That is what politics is and should be.
