Minigeff I hear you loud and clear, when out in public I often think what a better place the world would be if natural selection for people still existed. This country in particular seems full of the lowest common denominators. I'm starting to think social etiquette and good manners lessons should be taught in school as swathes of people have just become a waste of skin and air 8-) i think they only survive thanks to Facebook and jeremy kyle.

I had a different sort of problem ...

I was in the salt beef place in Selfridges recently at lunchtime. It is a very popular restaurant and is always busy.

It was lunchtime so was particularly busy. I was fortunate enough to get a table ( 2 of us doing the a table reccy, one in the queue getting the food :v ) but there was one lady sitting at a table on her own. She had obviously long finished her food and was spread out over the table with her computer,on the phone and obviously working.

She was in no rush to move and there were people wandering around with trays of food and no where to sit.

We finished our meal and moved and she was still there !! It ruined my lunch because she wound me up so much with her selfishness. Obviously being British no one said anything and just tutted loudly in her direction. :))

( The staff should have been a bit more proactive I think in moving people along who have long finished)

At least being able to pass an IQ test before being able to conceive :D .

Is this wise? IQ isn't everything in this world, as my teacher often told me.

I think you must know I was jesting from the :D (though sometimes it seems like it would be a good idea :)) )

Education isn't everything either to be fair. I left school at 16 with no qualifications to speak of and have survived ok. Common sense is the number one priority and there appears to be a lot of people around with little of it :)

The most misused phrase I find, it should be called uncommon sense.
Maybe not an iq test but a test of sorts, if you want to rehome a dog from the rspca you have home visits, and have to make a large financial contribution, any one can have a baby irrelevant of their suitability..... In fact people have children for all sorts of spurious reasons, to get a bigger council funded home, to try and repair a broken relationship........ In fact only this week was a case of a lovely woman who's baby drowned to death in the bath because she forgot she was in it..... Due to drinking cider all day...... Brilliant eh?

I read that back in England two pieces of scum have jailed for abusing and tormenting dementia sufferers. The sentences of one year are of course far too low, these slimy dregs of society deserve real punishment. I volunteer in a help centre over here and the cruelty that some people inflict on others is heartbreaking :#

Over here in wee N.Ireland, our local government has made a complete balls up of a "green" heating grant package..
Meaning many companies and rich individuals will have their heating bills paid for by us Tax payers, for the next
    Twenty years !
Do we expect any ministers or civil servants to get sacked ? ....... Of course not. Over spending by over £400 million
is an everyday occurrence over here !
The sooner they bring back "Direct rule" ( British ministers running things again ) the better as our home grown politicians are as thick as the brown stuff ! Either that or totally Incompetent.

Huh some politicians never cease to disappoint and enrage me! I heard today that the smiling assassin and megalomaniac warmonger toady Blair has submitted a claim for an extra 100,000 pounds for extra personell and equipment for his own protection while abroad on top of the 3million he already costs the taxpayer PER YEAR even though he has no official duty, fortunately Boris Johnson is in charge of this and has knocked back hus claim using one of Blairs own lines " unfortunately in this instance I feel the hand of prudence on my shoulder and will not agree this claim " Tony Blair! I'd love to spend 5 minutes alone with him in a locked room.

I was so much looking forward to it!

My favorite TV series (with Miami Vice) is now available on Blu Ray!!!
I was not sure if it has the german track, but I've preordered it immediately on amazon.co.uk for 170 GBP and I was so much looking forward to receiving it!

It arrived 10 minutes ago and wtf!

    - The picture quality is exactly the same (and bad) like with the DVDs
    - The number of disks (37) is the about same like with the DVDs (45)
    - there is no german audio, only english!

The DVD set costs GBP 33,95!

I am so disappointed, the set immediatley goes back!

    Crap marketing.
Yesterday I received some marketing letter from a very well known U.K. insurer. It was headed "life insurance for the 50-80" and was full of stuff about how I need to think about insuring for death etc.

Now I'm 52 but very young outlook like most of my generation, and I can't tell you how patronising and our-of-touch this marketing is. If you want my money, just tell me what you will offer me , don't start lumping me into a bracket I don't feel part of. Or better still, tell me I'm youthful enough to benefit from 35-55 bracket insurance.

Needless to say it went in the bin and any further marketing from them will swiftly follow.

Dammit, I've got the cold. My nose is blocked up and I'm coughing and sneezing- in a week when I have no less than NINE gigs to do.
It's Burns Night on the 25th, and a very profitable time for Scottish musicians. I quite literally HAVE to sing this week and I'm below par. Paracetamol, throat lozenges, Otrovine, and fingers crossed.

Good luck and get well soon! I had five colds plus the flu in 2016, and I survived the year. A few weeks total off work and about 12 or so weekends in bed, I was able to get through many television series I wanted to. I'll probably get sick again soon.

Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride and guaifenesin are the best thing to help manage your symptoms. The sooner you start taking them the better you will feel. Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride along with a pain-killer can even make it feel like your cold has almost gone away.
