To me it doesn't matter whether you agree with the war or Not. Service men and women, who are sent
by their Government to fight. Should be given every possible medical care that's needed, when needed.
No questions ! They should not have to depend on some charity fund raising to get some specialist care.
This is just another reason why, I have no time for Politicians. X-( , they're all scumbags.

Yeah, go get parts blown off you in our war, then get home where we tell you you're on your own.
Always funds for war, but all other human needs can piss off.
They'll always find money for new expensive hand printed wallpaper for their offices, But

?.. 9000 staff are being slungon the dole que by LLoyds bank, all because all these banks are not doing well?? .But then on the same page ,the paper is warning city bars ect ,to get extra champagne in as bankers bonuses (because they are doing well)will be high this year 8-) .Now I know im not the cleverest bloke around ,but please somebody explain
I'm pretty sure that Lloyds are closing branches because more and more people are banking online, so there's less demand and real estate costs are high; besides I think they spun off TSB earlier this year and they are keeping the branches.
And there's a difference between the High Street banks and the Investment banks- it's the latter who are whacking out the bonuses this year, the High Street guys won't get a look in.

But my local TSB was converted to a Lloyds bank...I'm sure that happened elsewhere....how many of these will close now ? Could be an easy way to close banks down now they have been converted to Lloyds ?
LLoyds bank started to go down hill when they changed their black horse logo ,If you look carefully at the original logo the saddle on the horse, had two pommels .These were a (invention )by the Knights Templars ,who were the originators of the banking system. If you had to travel a long distance with gold coin ,to save being robbed, these people would give you a note ,to exchange at the other end, thus protecting your wealth, Now some berk comes along from LLoyds ,and says oohh we don't need that, its too old fashioned , next thing the bank is going down the pan.(By the way the Knights Templars are a part of freemasonry )
I think the point remains that more people bank online nowadays, and it's not sensible to have empty banks along the high street. For good or ill, you have to move with the times and I'm sure Lloyds would be even more vilified if they had lots of empty premises on the high street. I don't think that means banking has gone down the pan.
Btw I bank with NatWest, and going into my local branch in the city, is like going into a coffee shop with comfy chairs and colour workstations and lamps and stuff. Weird.
Who remembers taking their 35mm or 110mm film in to be processed? And how many of your 16 or 24 pictures would come out bad? It's hard to believe now. But progress is like that, with the rise of online banking, like all other changing 'customer habits'- you have to change or go the way of the dinosaurs.
IM trying to get the strip light in the garage to work ,ive replaced the tube, the starter motor, the fuse, and its still not lighting up . The tube/bulb was on its way out last week ,so I thought id do it today ,how can something so simple be so bloody complicated X-( X-( X-( X-( X-( X-( X-( X-(
) I had the same problem in my studio. Replaced everything and it still
Wouldn't work. So got an electrician in and he fixed it in two bloody seconds.
I felt very stupid. )

Virgin Media have kindly decided to dig up my entire street. No-one can get in or out. They posted leaflets through the doors 3 hours after work had started.
Is it just me or is that just plain rude and inconsiderate?
Is it a novelty to have a virgin on the street ? )
Better on the street than in it. - Excuse my crass reply. I feeling so sorry for the test pilot who died on Virgin One at the weekend. In typical fashion the media are questioning commercial space flight as a dubious aim, and Sir Richard Branson's integrity for pushing the project. - For Christ's sake a man has died! Another seriously hurt!! Where is the commiseration and respect to those pilots and their families? That should be the media priority here! - (Both men married with two kids each).
I am SO Glad I never pursued the idea of a career in journalism. Vultures.
This is Thunderbird 2, how can I be of assistance?

I'm reminded though of the wise words of the Irish drunk in A Clockwork Orange (1971) though regarding putting a man on the moon while neglecting those needy humans on Earth. Sadly I think that with the gap between rich and poor getting ever deeper that applies more today than ever...
