If you are looking into the real numbers, immigration is not a problem.
Problem are the parties that instrument these topics to put a population into fear or stir up emotions.

Re. Cameron's anti- EU show I've said it previously. Trying to fish votes by becoming UKIP Light is not a good idea - you lose voters from the other wing and will never convince the hardliners.

I know that in Sweden, there is a far right Group who have some insane Ideas when it comes to Immigration.
Yes.The Swedes seem to think there are only two possible views when it comes to immigration.
There is the majority view, illustrated by these idividuals:
Then there is the view of the Sweden Democtats Party, illustrated by this individual:
I'm exagerating, of cource, but you get the idea.
Sweden is now importing 80-100 000 immigrants a year into a population of less than ten million.The other parties boycot the party and refuse to debate immigration, and they can't understand for the life of them why SD gets more and more supporters.
I think immigration can be a problem of you do too much too fast and/or do it wrong. If you let in a number that can be absorbed into the general population without creating ghettoes and present them with a good mix of opportunities and demands to fit into the new country, then immigration can be a great benefit to society. Unfortunately many European countries do this wrong.
On a different subject but I have to get it off my chest.
Today I'm watching many documentaries on the killing of
President Kennedy. Now many of these are very interesting
But I do wish they would stop showing the actual killing with
The graphic film of the head shot.
I think sometimes they forget this is the killing of a human being.
Just like the killings by ISIS of hostages. I really think it's in bad
Taste and should not be shown as entertainment.

The long opening hours are largly self destructive in my opinion. Parts of the private sector talked the governments into lifting the rules on opening hours. At first it was very profitable because only a few businesses vere open late. Then "everyone" did it and profit margins dropped. The losers are the common employes who have to sit by the cash register on Christmas eve instead of being with their families.

Do American's celebrate November 5th? Of course not.
So why are we having sales after 'Thanksgiving'
It was ridiculous out there today and it seems to have come from nowhere this year.
A couple of retailers have had Black Friday sales before (i.e. Amazon) but this year its become 'a thing'.
I don't like it. The orld will become a very boring place if we're all doing the same things.
Cant we just keep our own traditions. I like us being the same but different )
( I spend more time in the rant thread than anywhere else. Think I need to pop to the Silencer and have a glass of wine)
