The London store have 4 jackets. (1 medium , 3 large)
Official line from the store: It's the same cut and style jacket as in Skyfall but the screen version is last season's colour, this season's is darker and not as "beat up" they (production company) bought it last year from this store.
Mine just arrived from Ebay - it's a medium and the torso fit and length is great but these sleeves are going to need some magic. My tailor seems excited by challenges, so we'll see how he responds.
Sorry, I'll clarify: I was just going by the research done by folks here and over at filmjackets.com. There's a more "butterscotch" version which isn't correct, there's a black one (which I prefer and bought), and there's this brown edition. Craig is wearing last year's version, so this one will not be 100% (I'm reading the newer release is "less distressed"). But of what's available commercially, this is the closest. I think Danimal's listed above is THE correct edition in terms of year of release.
good find.. well done,, but £600 ... phewee,,, why dont we just find a brown jacket similar,,,, (charity shop),,, string it to the back of the car,,, drag it round the supermarket car park on a sun morn before it opens,, then cover all the scatches with brown boot polish and that,,, should be that,, lol..
come on folks.. where does it stop,, its alot of money, and ! only the 1st iem thats been identified,, at this rate, we,ll all end up divorced trying to buy all this movie clober lol...

Your quite right ). Using all our money on Skyfall clothing, sony electronics, props etc are just what the studio wants. They are not trying to make us look better with a new suit ), they want us to use all our money on this. This is how they make money, by product placement, and on tickets of course.

Haha - believe me when I say this will prob be one of the cheapest items in Skyfall!!!!!
For once I can buy a 007 jacket in my size however I don't like it at all!!!! )

I like the jacket, but looks very similar to Indiana Jones' (which is not a bad thing).
its a rather nice jacket, but i have to agree, £600?!
this is part of the main reason i don't go in for the clothes. additionally, i'm short n fat so would look redicularse trying to imperssonate bond. also, you shell out loads of coin for an item of clothing not many would a) give two craps about and b) know was actually used in a bond film. on explaining that 'yeah this jacket is the one used in skyfall' you then have a daft moment where you need to explain its not the jacket, merely the same kind. disappointment insues and a rather mooted 'oh.......' responce is recieved.
i hardly wear suits so thats out, i also have a mortgage and a nipper on the way so the idea of expensive cufflinks etc are also out. while i think about it, for the price of dunhill cufflink you can actually have some custom made to your design for less, so how can dunhill justify the high price? i guess sweat shops and back alley indian workshops are more expensive these days. )
bottom line from me, yeah the jacket's nice but i'd just buy a cheap version.

What DO you waste your money on, Geff??? )
I have two kids crippling me nicely, thank you. But what little's left over is mine, though I conceed all the kit in all the world 'aint gonna make me James Bond. Bloody kids!

First off, congrats on the impending arrival!
I don't begrudge folks telling everyone they know they're wearing things from the Bond films, but that's certainly not why I buy it. It's just a quality source from which to take one's fashion cues. You know he's wearing stuff that's tasteful and in fashion and there are worse places for a 40+ year old to figure out what to wear!
Before anyone gets carried away here I don't think badly of anyone on here because of their taste in collectable items.
For me, clothes are out as they're just too damn pricey and i'm too far from looking like mr B. Each unto their own, and its that diversity that makes ajb what it is, a group of geeky opinionated nutjobs. :v (myself being the largest)
From a value for money POV, I can see that spending big bucks on TF can be worth it, nowt nicer than a decent whistle as a good mate of mine says, but some things like dunhill cufflinks, and the money clip, I just can't see where ya money goes into something like that.
Like I say, each unto their own. I might even dip my pinky (thats a toe by the way, not my ****) into the clothing world once in a while....
Yeah £600 is alot for a jacket like that. I have a Wested indy jacket, the quality is great and the price is even better. But come on guys, why not have our own style? We're never gonna be James Bond anyway, and the clothes are probably all product placement to make us use all our money.
We're all acting like some crazy JB fans. Want everything he wears and touches. )
I think I saw less complaining about the price of a Bond garment in the thread about the TF QoS great coat at a ridiculous $4k. In perspective 600 pounds is a drop in the bucket.
I wish all Bond clothing was available down at the discount mall, but since it isn't I am more than happy to find a gem in a 70% off Banana Republic suit that gets me close enough to either the Craig or Connery version of Bond and fits my frame well. I've been fortunate enough to try out/handle some of the most high end items down to the cheapest of close-enoughs. Needless to say the cheapskate in me keeps my own wardrobe more stocked with the cheapest close-enoughs, or if I really like, say a jacket, I just have it made...but at least knowing the level to shoot for and the look you would like will make you be selective in the best quality close-enoughs possible.
Incorporating Bond-ish clothing into your style will do nothing but enhance the way you look and feel, and the way others perceive you. Jeez, that sucks. 8-) I'm pretty sure there are some other well dressed characters up on the big-screen as well... so sprinkling all that good stuff out there into your own look will only do you good.
Today I am wearing a $7 Wal-Mart Henley that looks darn close to that $150 vintage look Henley some other cool dude wore at some point in a movie or magazine... but I doubt I'm going to give a fellow coworker with similar style interests crap about buying that Henley over the one I chose. I'll just say, "nice shirt" to myself, since most dudes don't bother to acknowledge each other's clothing in person and go on about the day.

Nicely said! I'm off to pick up my LVC jacket from the tailor, hoping that his assistant who wouldn't stop asking me questions about it didn't cause it to go "missing." )
I'm thinking of getting one of these jackets. Sadly, none of the retailers around sell it so I am forced to get it online. I am unsure of which size to get. I am a 40R when I wear suits, and I've taken some measurements and my shoulders are an inch bigger then the small, my chest and waist fit the small perfectly based upon the sizing chart on mrporter.com. Is it just me or are the sleeves really long.
Based upon this I am unsure whether I should get a small or a medium.

In suit sizes you seem the same size as me and I got a Medium in the LVC.
I know some here have got Smalls but I find the Medium is just about whereable for me; a Small would be way TOO tight.
Hope this guidance helps - and I know how difficult ordered by mail can be. I bought a Large LVC first before sending it back for a Medium.
