Scenes you can go back and watch over and over ...and over....

HalconHalcon Zen TemplePosts: 487MI6 Agent
Hello ladies and gentlemen...

I find myself often watching certain scenes in the Bond movies over and over again, without ever becoming intolerant of them...

for example the ''it's my little octopussy" scene in Octopussy...seen at a million times on youtube and i'll see a million times again...why? idk...

got any you'd like to share?

My watching is mostly made up of scenes like playlists. Mainly because I have seen the films that I like so many times that they are lodged in my Head-pod. Also because only a handful stand up as movies for me. The value in the rest lies in particular scenes or episodes. For example I regard TB as deeply flawed, but love a lot of it, the opening, Shrublands, Carnival etc. The same is true for most of the films ( I find RM and his Bond movies cringeworthy and unwatchable with the exception of LALD )
Favourite scenes though are like old friends.

Top of my list, along with the Goldfinger PTS. I would also add the final encounter with Red Grant on the Orient Express (including, of course, the fight) in From Russia With Love.

Interesting question and one I've never really considered much. However, these are what I would watch if I didn't just site down and watch the whole film:

PTS of TSWLM and the pyramids sons et lumiere.

    MR cable car scene

    Circus Circus scenes in DAF

Following Goldfinger across the alps (superb cinematography)

Bond in the funhouse from TMWTGG plus the Lazar scene.

    PTS of CR

    The embassy chase from CR

The end credits of DAD :))

I am just at the point where I watch the films over and over. Too many scenes to list here

The scene in DAD when a dirty, bearded Bond walks through the lobby of the Hotel. He's getting weird stares and groans but he doesn't care because he knows he's Bond and walks through the lobby like he owns the whole place. Truly one of the best scenes in DAD.

I'll also have to go with laser scene in GF.

I've always like the PTS of AVTAK.

    The PTS of TWINE.

Red Grant and Bond on the train in FRWL.

    The pts of GE.

    Pts of TLD.

Though I'm not mad about the films. It's easier to single out top scenes from films you don't like, otherwise you just watch the whole movie!

From first seeing it as a Kid on ( what seemed to me at the time ) a late night Cinema show.
The clip of Bond trapped on the Croc Island/ I always remember thinking how scary ( I'd of
been around 9 ) it would of been to be trapped like that.
So I still sometimes skip to it for old times sake. :007)

I'd say being trapped in a confined space in the dark and about to be burned alive (as Bond is in Diamonds Are Forever) is scary. I feel a sense of unease every time I watch it even though I know Bond is not going to be toast. I think I might take my chances with the crocodiles. :D

I quite enjoyed the PTS for TWINE. I thought it was one of the better PTS in the entire Bond series.
