CR Questions

What does Bond say when he's at the Ocean Club bar, after he gets his Large Mount Gay and soda? He notices the guy whose Range Rover he wrecked and says something that sounds sort of like "Commandment". Obviously, this is not what he says, but my BluRay subtitles leave this line out (so does the DVD version). Incidently, I've tried to locate a copy of the script, to no avail.

Also, Does anyone know why the producers cast an actor to play Geittler that so closely resembled the one who played Le Chiffre? They even gave him a special lens for his glasses over the same eye Le Chiffre had the bad tear duct on. If I remember, in the book Geittler had an eye patch, so I can see them wanting to update that, but were the other similarities on purpose? When I saw the movie the first time, I almost expected them to explain how Le Chiffre survived being shot by Mr. White. I suppose this could have been what the producers were going for, but, if so, it seems unnecessarily confusing.

If these questions have been addressed elsewhere, I apologize.

I'm with you on the Geittler issue. I didn't think it was Le Chiffre - I'd read the book many times and was certain that Le Chiffre was quite dead - but when watching it for the first time, the visual appearance of Geittler was so evocative of Le Chiffre that I remember wondering if there was a purpose behind it. There HAVE to be people out there that saw the film and thought that it WAS Le Chiffre and left confused. I assume those people would assume that his first death was faked and somehow part of Vesper's double-cross.

...and now that I consider it, that's not a half-bad plot twist. :)

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the second guy
get a nail through the eye from a nail gun fired by Bond
And when I first saw the movie I did think it was LeChiffre for a few seconds.
Some people would complain even if you hang them with a new rope
