Bond Sale: More stuff added!

Hey guys,

I got sideswiped the other day, and long story short, the cops couldnt decide who to fault we both did. So now I am stuck having to pay for the damage to my car upwards $1,800. ( On a side note, the sideview mirror came off my car and shattered against my face, so I have some pretty nice cuts on one side of my face similar to the beginning of QOS.) So in advance, I would like to apologize for the photos not being up to my usual quality, my face and arm are still pretty sore.

First up is something I actually found in my attic from when I was younger.

Corgi Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger.

It is in like new condition, and all of the parts still work, but I cant find the henchman that gets thrown from the ejector seat.

Casino Royale Leather Jacket Replica
I got this a few years ago on another forum. I am not sure of the maker, but since I only paid $150 for it, I am guessing it is one of the cheaper ones. However, it is real lambskin leather, and the stitching seems to be pretty well done. Size: XL

Is that a real Omega, or a copy?

For $220 you can bet it's a fake.

    +1

I think the only other thing I could add to that highly exacting statement is I can't see the issue, being as them over at therpf even have a section dedicated to making and selling stuff. 8-) ah the mind boggles. Traffic wardens, why does chocolate make you fat?, the VCRA, ajb's copyright policy.....

Anyway, back on subject, mr bauer, could you reply to the email or do I assume it's sold or you're not wanting to sell to me?

Well... it actually said "Omega" in the description (not "replica"), and the photos were in such a resolution that you could not see too much detail. Of course, $220 is cheap for a real Omega, but then again, for a replica it is rather expensive. Could probably bring the whole suitcase of "Omegas" from Thailand for this price...

Now that the description is edited to "replica" there is another misleading term: Swiss ETA.

The movement may be a knockoff from an ETA calibre, however, it's a chinese movement with probably some fake ETA stamps ;)

It was "pointed out" to you that your banner contravened the copyright issues AJB has with Eon...seeing as its always you that points out when other people may contravene this rule....

    Selling fakes isn't allowed (even though some of your friends have wanted to buy fakes before)....I think AJB is VERY CLOSE to a blanket ban on selling anything here at all...well done, Markus -{

:D Sir Miles, I have your email from 23rd january still and it was "not pointed out" like you say. :v

    Good to blame me for EVERYTHING that happens on AJB, so I also take the praise for the good things -{

And as for a blanket ban on selling anything:

It would be more than enough to root out all the One-Hit-Wonders who show up only here to flog their items which are then fakes for a part.

And while you are on the job, you may want to sanction some very bad language fails that I have been taking recently {[]

I think that series of emails had something to do with you originally bringing up copyright issues - I can't recall exactly and I've deleted those emails as I have a life...

    Good things ? Really ? Where ? :s

No...a blanket ban would be far easier - and fairer - to implement and maintain...links to ebay via the appropriate thread would continue though...that would stop members from the possiblity of being ripped off (and expecting AJB to bail them out)...and stop people from continous complaining about the legality/validity of certain items...I'm certain you will agree that this is the best way forward...

And which "very bad language" has been coming your way ?

Please reply via PM....as this thread is now off topic...thank you.

The desription now says "Swiss ETA Omega Planet Ocean replica". Does the word "replica" refer to "Swiss" and "ETA" then as well? If so the price asked seems very steep!

I enquired only 3 hours after this thread started, I've still recieved no reply, so I guess it's gone.

    Either way, not interested anymore.

Sorry guys, I have been putting in quite a few extra hours to try and put more money together. MG- I certainly was not trying to be rude, I actually just checked my email today for the first time since I posted this thread and that is why I got on here.

In the interest of full disclosure, I am just going to post the link to where I bought my watch:
    http://www.marvellousreplica.com/products_detail.php?ProId=627

As you can see, it is obviously a replica, but it is one of the best ones I have ever had. I actually had to get the HE valve replaced, and it took genuine Omega parts ordered from Ofrei without any modification.

I really didn't think posting this would have been that big of a deal, but if you guys would like to, please feel free to delete this thread with my most sincere apologies. I very much like this forum, and would hate to do anything to jeopardize it.

No worries Neil. The money I set aside had to go elsewhere. Good luck with your sales.

I wouldn't worry about all this replica crap, I'm sure now there's a link to where it came from people can make their own minds up and make any offers accordingly.

    The watch is sold.

I finally got around to posting the other item, and I am debating on getting rid of one more.

I will try and get the accurate sizing lengths for the jacket up tonight.
