(referring to TND exchange, not Quarrel's Fetch my shoes y'honour) What makes it bad is that after M delivering her innuendo with a knowing smirk, Moneypenny follows it up with a joke to reference it, like its hers alone. "You'll just have to decide how much pumping to do 007..." Like, yeah, we get it, that was the joke M was referring to, you don't have to underline it. 8-)
It's a pity that two such cringe-worthy lines were delivered by our favorite spy, and for me it was especially disappointing that Sean Connery, my favorite Bond, uttered those words. As a Black man, I found the "fetch my shoes" line to be extremely offensive. I realize that such a line is not at all out of character for the Bond that Ian Fleming created, but the film could have done without it.
I always thought the "she needs a man to dominate her" line from Draco was cringe worthy.
I've also always hated the part in Thunderball at the baccarat table when bond says "may I be allowed to buy the lady a drink" and Largo responds with "I would appreciate that". It's just such a stupid straightforward line and delivered so terribly by both of them. It's hard to explain, but I always cringe during that part.

I can understand what you're saying about the chauvenistic comments from Tracey's father, but bear in mind that his character is played in an over dominating and controlling way so that Tracy has reason to act rebellious and have a need to be independant. For that reason I can't find it as cringeworthy as un-necessary lines like "fetch my shoes".
I have to admitt, I couldn't understand the idea.

I loved watching LALD at the weekend, from the interrogation over the watch onwards, boat chase and all, but it's mainly Moore in action. His dialogue in this film I don't care for, it's too arch. Worst of all is when he's having a packed lunch with Rosie, and has to seduce her, saying "I'm in no hurry... (raise eyebrow) "Are you?" Ugh.
Many of Dame Judi's. Use of the northern pronunciation of 'b@stards' in beginning of QoS, instructed that way because that's how American say it, presumably.
"Arse-covering prigs" in CR just doesn't ring true to me, she gabbles the line.
I always cringe at that bit in Casino Royale when Bond and Vesper are sitting for dinner after the poker game and Bond says after failing to amuse her 'well that's alright then' and has a bit of a laugh to himself in an overly smug fashion.
I think I read somewhere that originally there were 3 seconds on the timer, but the producers later changed it to give the movie that clever "007" reference.
