It's a very smart watch, But agree it's not very pretty. Infact I read somewhere
that many younger people don't wear watches anymore as the Phone now does everthing.
In fact I think the phone has become the modern "Pocket watch" )

This is rather topical (for us Brits anyway) given Bradley Wiggins triumph at the Tour de France last weekend and the likelihood of a number of Gold medals at the Olympics for GB, including one for Wiggins in the road time trial.

A new high-resolution television format has been approved by the UN's communication standards setting agency. Broadcast in Super Hi-Vision 8K will offer a resolution of 7,680 by 4,320 pixels - roughly the equivalent of a 32 megapixel photo. That is 16 times as sharp as current HD TV's offering about 2 megapixel resolutions. Japanese broadcaster NHK showed off the technology in London during the Olympics, where audiences said it gave them a sense of being at the events.

Sony has announced its next generation gaming console - the PlayStation 4 - at an event in New York. Its new hardware is designed to offer superior graphics as well as new social features including the sharing of recorded gameplay chips. Sony also confirmed a range of big name software for the machine including Bungie's upcoming "shared world shooter" Destiny, which will include exclusive content for the PS4. It did not give any indication of its price nor did it show what the console would look like. It comes with a new Dual Shock 4 controller, which includes a touchpad, a "share button" and a lightbar, which allows a separate camera to track its movement.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S4 smartphone which allows users to control its 5in (12.5cm) screen using only their eyes. The phone also has the ability to take two different pictures at once. The Galaxy S4 will be rolled out globally at the end of April.

Computers controlled by a swipe of the hand - a staple of science fiction films like Minority Report - could soon hit the mass market as the result of a new deal between Hewlett-Packard Co and a San Francisco start-up called Leap Motion, a three year old firm with less than 100 employees that manufactures sensor units about the size of a pack of chewing gum, which it claims can track the individual movements of 10 fingers with 1/100th of a millimetre precision. The units can plug into any computer.
